O'rly? So despite the fact that they ran horribad with injuries last year and were playing a bunch of underclassmen, they still managed to finish good enough to get in the NCAA tourney, and ranked top 20 in both offensive and defensive efficiency in the country and finished 9th in kenpom's Pyth, ahead of the likes of KU, Oklahoma and Villanova, while playing in the loaded Big East as hindered as they were, and a team like that has absolutely no chance of winning it?

WVU's chances at anything last year completely went down when Mazzulla went down with his shoulder injury. Ebanks and Bryant finally won't just be a bunch of Freshman out there, and Butler and Mazzulla have more than enough experience and leadership to make 20/1 a great looking bet, with at least a CHANCE withing that sort of price range.

I took it too. 1st one on the board that stood out to me

Great stuff! I don't do write-ups, so thanks! In my opinion, this is the most athletic and experienced team Huggins has had since taking over. Ruoff being gone will hurt, but getting Mazzulla back is more important and will out-weigh his departure on this years squad.

that's a waste of 250 bucks. the payout is much lower than the odds of hitting it. futures bets are sucker bets. just like the player to score the 1st touchdown and stupid prop bets like that. save your money and put it on something you have a real chance of winning. just my 3 cents.

In my opinion this is a good bet. WVU is a great team bob huggins said "you need 3 nba type players to win a nation championship and i have them" this is a great team. they also have an awesome player suspended for 20 games name Deniz Kilicli. Don't be surprised if this team go deep into march but what do i know im a homer lol..Best of luck on your bet my friend..

Got this on February 11th. The new line in a couple of days will probably be +1000, so a good deal but nothing amazing. In your case if you can get them to the final 4 you can hedge. And no one will blow this team out, they will be in every game against whomever they play even if UK meets them at the regional final. Thats if UK survives, I think WV will get there as at least 5 pt favs in each game until then

Well, I have a KANSAS vs. WEST VIRGINIA Championship Game, so I do see the potential.

BUT, 20-1 may not be a good enough price, it is better to parlay their MLs all the way through.

Just the opposite; it has a good chance of hitting, but the price is bad. You will get better than 20-1 by parlaying their Money Lines all the way through.

To be totally honest, I remember reading his response. I was power-posting like a rookie, and hit "view new posts" and didn't see this was in players talk, and assumed it was in NCAA FB. Once I looked up that WV was like un-ranked in FB at the time, I decided to not reply

How can this not have a chance when West Virginia is the most likely 2-seed to reach the Final 4? Heck, they were a borderline one seed, and they end up in the same region as the worst of the one-seeds. Kentucky is not even a given to be in the Elite Eight, although I personally do have a W Va/Ky East Final.

WVU definitely has a shot, they're peaking at the right time. They were playing some bad ball during the middle of the season because their starting pg was hurt. Now, they seem to be clicking on all cylinders and they sure know how to win close games.

I think that WVU bet looks pretty nice right now - really is too bad on Big East championship, although +350 wouldn't have been nearly as tempting. It will be interesting to see once they post the new odds.
