Thanks all for the kind words and well wishes. Glad to see things got sorted out after last night. There's no place for that stuff anywhere in life. The sooner people figure that out, the better off we'll all be. My hope is that that's the last of this kind of stuff we see here and we can focus on finding winners.

As for betting totals versus sides, I came to the realization a few years ago that there is more potential for long term success with totals for me. My working theory is that the noise gets filtered out a little bit more with totals. I also think the number of games in college basketball presents some softer markets. (Now that conference play is starting you may see me play more small conference games.)

At any rate, I have my predictions up on my model for Christmas day. No lines posted yet, but I'll post any plays I have once they are available. If not, see you in a few days.

In the meantime, I'll share my football model. I went live with this Week 6. Over that time it went 261-215 (54.8%). The model only predicts sides, no totals. So far it's 6-3 on bowls for the post season (and also won the Army/Navy game). This is also the first season I've used this model, so I'm not sure how it will hold up for the bowl games, so use caution. Hawaii is the pick for today. It's mostly self-explanatory, but the highlighted games in Column H are games where I have the underdog favored to win SU.

Thanks Fred. My number on that FIU game was 139. Honestly didn’t look at it closely for two reasons. First, it’s the holidays and time is limited with family and all. Second, I’m planning to tread lightly for a bit with all the time off, etc.

I’m not big on trends, but I do look at them. Martin is a great over team though.
