College Extra Games on 5Dimes Thread

Hey girls

Mentioned last week that there seems to be soft lines with 5D's College Extra Men's College BBall games. I'll start posting games that I think offer value when I see them. I have 2 for today:

1) South Florida -12.5 over Bethune Cookman
Cookman is 0-5 on the road routinely giving up 75PPG or more and have losses of New Mexico State by 16, Samford by 28, and St Johns by 47. This game smells like South Florida by 18 or more


2) IUPUI -25.5 over Urbana
Urbana is a DII school who have gotten blown out by several other DII Schools leading to a record of 3-5. They haven't played any D1 games yet this year. They lost games by 17, 20, and 35 - all to DII schools. This is their first D1 game and IUPUI has been playing rather poorly so look for them to exceed 100 today and cover. IUPUI beat D1 Howard by 27 earlier this year. The over looks juicy at 168.5.

Thanks gentlemen. Agree that the -120 juice sucks, and all lines are with the half point and you can't buy points BUT this is an experiment as I've been more on the winning side than losing side of these Extra games so far this year. The South Florida moved 2 more points since I placed my wager earlier and is now -14.5. The key is for me to identify what I feel are the softer lines of the games offered and pounce early before the lines start moving. I'd also never bet any sizeable amount on these since many of these schools never have lined games or are D2 schools with little/no history that we can use to make better educated wagers on.

Lots of line movement. South Florida ended up at -17.5, IUUI - 30.5, and the total on IUPUI ended at 172.5.

Late add was Albany +5.5 against Canisius. Albany was actually favored by 3 earlier and I took the 5.5 thinking they at least cover. 8 point swing on that line.

Let's see what happens.

I was definitely on the right side of South Florida as evidenced by the line movement but they got blasted in the first half and had a huge hole to climb out of. The IUPUI game won easily and went over. The Albany pick was against the line movement and they lost.

2 Games for today:

1) Wright State -27.5 over Urbana

Urbana is a D2 school that is on the back end of a back to back after losing to IUPUI 42 last night. Wright State blew out another D2 school earlier this year 109-54. Urbana as 1500 enrollment compared to 17,000+ Wright State. Urbana picked to finish 2nd to last in their conference and were 2-26 last year. In theory, this should cover easily

2) VMI -1.5 over Charleston Southern.
VMI has won 1 game. Charleston has won 4, but 3 were against D2 schools. That leaves them both with 1 D1 win. I'll take VMI as a short dog at home. They historically run up and down the court and hoping they can outshoot their opponent.

Smaller wager on VMI than Wright State but Wright State - I'm loving that one.

1 game for 12/14:

Georgia State -27.5 over Alabama A&M

State plays solid defense and A&M is winless on the season. Their highest scorer averages just 10PPG. They routinely have had 30+ point losses and hoping that trend continues here.

Loss yesterday. A&M decides to show up and post almost their highest scoring output of the season. The leading scorer with 10PPG went off for like 28. 4-3 thread record.

1 Game Today 12/15:

North Florida -23.5 over Thomas University (Georgia)

Thomas is a D2 school who has played two D1 schools and lost big: vs Georgia State by 42 and vs Nicholls State by 32. While North Florida isn't that great themselves, they have beaten 2 D2 schools by 36 and 46. This is a soft line and I anticipate upward movement as the day goes on.

Dude they were losing by 6 with 15 mins to go. I threw my phone and checked later and saw I had a chance. I love/hate College basketball.

The line moved up 6 points to 29.5 at tipoff so it helped getting in early.
