IPFW -2 over Western Illinois

Western Illinois shocked Omaha to win its first Summit League game after losing their first 9. They then went on the road to shock Denver with their second win. Since then they have been back to their own selves and strung a 3-game losing streak. They have given up for the season.

IPFW is at the top of the Summit League but So Dakota St is only 1 game behind so a win here is important. This IPFW team has been a covering monster going 19-5 ATS this season including 11-3 ATS on the road.

I always take your picks into serious consideration. This time I'm not going to ask why you like W&M. I feel doing the work myself will open up thought processes that will help me in the future.

Home court advantage is insanely prevalent in college hoops, possibly more so than any sport. It doesn't make sense but the trend is very very evident. Though home teams are winning at a lower and lower rate with each passing year. Ken Pomeroy wrote a very interesting article on it recently. I can't seem to find it though.

I know what you mean but these small school lines are much softer. That's why i bet these games.

This game shouldn't be over thought. Like you mentioned last night, some times they just go like the public thinks they should.

I watched the first half. The difference is that IPFW is hitting a higher percentage of 3's. Otherwise it would be tied. IPFW is a step faster on the offense than WIU. Hopefully they will take advantage of this in the 2nd half.
