Cleveland State is such a hard team for me to get a handle on. Every time I think I understand them they do something I don't expect.

I know! I actually know the team a bit (my kids in the CSU summer camp and my son got pretty tight with Flannigan, who has loads of potential), and really thought that they were ready to turn a corner, but last night was brutal. Big believer in Waters as a coach but this is starting to look more and more like a lost season for the Vikings.

Okay, passing on Friday night's small card and getting an early start on Saturday. Obviously, totals aren't out yet, but there are some i'm eying already for potential game over/1H over. Note: this is the 'keep-up' game angle i've been using for 4-5 years now (tweaked criteria and been tracking for a few weeks; pretty much all of my game over/1H overs thus far have come from this angle):
Indiana/Minnesota
Xavier/Marquette
Kentucky/Auburn
BYU/Portland
Marshall/Rice
Florida/Ole Miss
Weber St/Sacramento St
other games that meet the general profile but have one red flag:
Nova/Georgetown
UTEP/UTSA
St Bonnie's/Duquesne [of these, this is the one i could see myself biting on]
UAB/Charlotte
other games that meet the general profile but have multiple red flags:
Cincy/Temple
Furman/Citadel
Miami/Clemson
Northeastern/Delaware
Montana/North Dakota
Morehead St/E Illinois
La Tech/FAU [don't like at all]
Missou St/Bradley [like even less than LT/FAU]
Hawaii/CSF

The idea with the keep-up game angle is that there is a medium-sized home dog that will be going hard from the outset to match their more-talented visitor. Most of the potential red flags fall on the home dog side of the ledger (offensive efficiency, 3PT%, 2PT%, ATO ratio) as well as in comparing both teams' pace (don't want either to be a slower team, nor do i want either team to be much faster-paced than the other - theory being that much slower fave will dictate slower tempo by virtue of being better team and that being their preferred pace, while much slower dog isn't going to be as interested in matching pace with much faster-paced fave). One potential red flag that i cannot evaluate at this point for Saturday's card is line movement (both where it opens relative to what i expect and how it moves).
Have a great Friday night, fellas. Out for a couple of cold ones and i'll see you tomorrow.

So as we are clear, UF/Ole Miss over doesn't have a spread large enough to qualify for the keep up angle that i mentioned above. I like the over there independently of all that.

Posted in football thread, playing Chiefs TT over 20 (+105)
Andy Reid has faced Belichick 10 times (5 regular season, one Super Bowl, 4 preseason). In the 6 regulation games (regular season plus Super Bowl), Reid's teams scored an average of 24 points, and scored more than 20 points 4 times, exactly 20 once and under 20 one.

Good luck today, Biff. I got Uconn at 2p and if it loses I'm probably gonna double up on Colorado at 7p. Hope you're wrong about Broncos though, I got a parlay with MSU and Denver. Or at the very least I hope Pittsburgh scores like 6 points lol.

Tempted to take Creighton/DePaul 2H under 81' for the 18.5-point middle (teams 31-55 from field, 12-23 3 PTs) but passing.

BOL TT! I think both teams struggle to score, what with 1/2 a live arm between the 2 QBs due to Roethlesberger injury. Saw on twitter that Stillers this year average 1.6 yards per play when Antonio Brown is out. Yikes!

Shrewd business laying off Creighton/DePaul 2H over - snuck over at end thanks to DePaul tradition of fouling down 10+ with under 1:00 left.

Thanks, t-bone! LSU has the talent, but man is that team maddening to back sometimes.
