St johns -7. 2.14 to win 2.
their defense has been mighty impressive. Rank 8th in adjusted efficiency, 11th in effective fg%, and 5th in block%. Their length is gonna be a problem for st marys. This is a long travel for the gaels who are 2-4 ATS in their last 6 on the road. This will definitely be their toughest test of the season. St johns is 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 overall and look like a dangerous team. St marys defense is also very soft. Theyre 170th in adjusted efficiency and 313 in TO %. They do not force mistakes.

Cal -6. 2.82 to win 2.5.
eastern washington got a big win at indiana.. but other than that i have not been impressed with them. Their defense is soft as baby wipes ranking in the bottom in almost all KenPom categories. Eastern washington is also in the middle of a long road stand... all that traveling easily catches up to you. And being matched up against a team with fire power like Cal is not good on tired legs. Cal is 6-3 ATS in their last 9 at home and even without bird i see them covering this modest #.

id agree if this wasnt their 5th road gm in a row, brutal scheduling and i thought it showed last gm.. i think cal is garbage and laying points with them never fun cause they cant shoot fts but bad spot for ewu as they gotta be ready to get back to their gym and prepare for conf play..

Good point, Sam Houston St. isnt a horrible team, they were hot at 3 that game, EWU couldnt overcome it, maybe I just dont like what Cal brings to the table that much, think this could be close, really havent seen much of Cal this year but shouldnt be much different than past years.

oh i agree Cal is terrible imo. if it wasnt for the 5th road gm in a row and fact i think schedule catching up with ewu a little bit id be all over them. on more equal grounds i def think it a close gm and one id prob expect ewu to win, just have a feeling they ready to be back home and preparing for the conf schedule. even still i wouldnt lay the points, trusting cal to hit fts and close a gm out vs anyone w a pulse is a risky proposition imo...

I had St Johns -300 ($300 to win $100). I was going to let it ride out until about the 2 minute mark when St Mary's got back within a point. I pussed out and got St Mary's +325 so I wouldnt lose anything. St John's ends up coasting after that and I end up feeling like I lost $100. But man, when its only a 1 point game with 3 minutes to play, I just cant in my mind risk losing $300 in that situation. The pain of losing $300 would have been way worse than the joy of winning $100. So buy out and live to see another day. Stupid St Johns should have shown up in the 1st half and I'd have won a $100 tho.
