not as sure about VCU 1H over (56.5). my forecast has that game at VCU, 58-53. CAA tourney games do tend to be more high-scoring 1H than 2H, but i think 1H most likely has between 55-60 points. hope it hits for you.

Even though I like the over in the george mason/VCU game, its not a good play as is taking st mary's +4 1st half. Both vcu and gm are not good free throw shooting teams. I am staying away from the over.

i also like the 1H unders N Texas/W Kentucky (69) and Charleston/UTC (72.5) a little. as with the N Texas/MTSU game yesterday, seems like regular season lines in a conference tourney [of course, that N Texas/MTSU 1H under lost by a bucket]. these games are the difference between the NCAA tourney and the NIT or nothing. most of the time, that leads to a greater emphasis on defense, esp early.

i like the 1H over in Niagara/Siena (71) but that number is so high that i'm glad that Siena injury concerns allow me to no-play that one. don't like 1H overs much and that's a very high number, although i do expect a shoot-out in that game (82-81 Siena).

any thoughts on these?

I have a team total in the nba that you will like. I like Pistons team total over 23 1st quarter. This is a very low team total for the pistons to cover in the 1st quarter. I think the pistons are a better team offensively with Hamilton starting. The magic just played yesterday against the celtics in boston and won. Pistons were off yesterday after losing to the hawks on saturday night. They will score 24 plus points in the first quarter on their own homecourt tonite.

I stay away from first half unders. I look for first half overs like the pistons game tonite. I also like to see how the game is going. IS the home team winning by a big margin. How did the two teams do in the 2nd half of previous games. U should take a look at 2nd half results of a team from previous games.

For sure it's always best to look into all of the information like past results and follow up on all the details of the match. I don't like betting on the unders first half either. The 2nd half always looks like a better bet and in most cases it is.

Hawks +1/2 1st quarter

It is hard to pick Q1 against a good outside shooting team with an explosive guard like N.O. It's very hard to predict what is going to happen. Hawks can win it if they play defense in Q1 which most teams don't. Good luck.
