Can anyone help me out? Ull-south alabama

So I took 2H of the Louisiana Lafayette - South Alabama game yesterday and saw at the end of game that ULL had won the 2H by 3. This was confirmed by play by play reports, as seen here.

If you look at the play by play, all confirm that South Alabama had 74 points at the end of the game, BUT for some reason all the recaps and AP scores show 76.

I followed the game and saw 74 as well, can anyone confirm? or let me know what happened??

play by play must be wrong then, no need to check multiple scoreboards, they get their data from the same source.

Hey bro, I just watched the last part, USA finished with 74 pts as their final score. Unless for some reason they decided they didnt count something and added 2 extra pts.The scoreboards online are wrong, should be 74.

Just re-watched the game too...and took a screenshot of the final score.

Talked to beat writers that were at the game and they confirm someone got double-charged with a basket.

But when talking to Tony at 5Dimes he says that the only thing thing that matters is the "official" result.

So because the AP screwed up, I get screwed. Anyway for me to notify someone that a score is wrong??

If you add up the scores of the players on USA it adds to 76, but it appears they awarded a player 2 more pts than they should have, so thats why the 76 is there.

Tried that, he wouldn't even look at the screenshot. So I asked what what sports line services he uses for "official" results, telling him that the school's website had listed it as the correct score of 102-74. He cited the other school saying they had 102-76 (has since been corrected on their site) and then ESPN dontbest, etc.

When I told him that one school had the correct score, he said he didn't care and that it was wrong...and case closed.

Kind of BS. Because the AP messed up a score, I get screwed. Even worse is that I watched the whole game too, so not even sure where the scorekeeper screwed up.

Any advice?

Even the beat writers of each respective team agree that the "official" score is wrong.

Ive dealt with him quite a few times, he can be a d!ck, he seems fair sometimes but other times he doesnt seem fair, he probably doesnt want to go through having to take back the money he's paid out and vice versa on the 2nd half play, also probably would be a loss for them if he did, many more could have been on ULL for 2nd half. Since he wont listen to you being rational, only thing I can think of is maybe sometimes today or very soon that ESPN will post the correct score and you can show him that. Im sure he knows scoreboards are wrong sometimes since they rely on being sent information.

The winner of an event or game will be determined on the date of the event or game's conclusion according to house rules. 5Dimes does not recognize suspended games, protests, overturned decisions, etc., for wagering purposes.

^ That's from the website. Seems like it leaves a lot of wiggle room for them to grade just based on how they feel that day.

Not looking for a hand-out by any means here, it's a game that i won fair and square, but human error caused the wrong score to be posted.

I emailed STATS, the official provider of stats for most of major news outlets and here's what they wrote:

Thank you for bringing this scoring discrepancy to our attention. The box score originally provided to us from the school was changed shortly after we had loaded it. We have since, updated the score to reflect 102- 74.

This is getting ridiculous...so now sports illustrated and nbc sports both have corrected the score, but ESPN and yahoo haven't updated theirs.
