ESPN 30 for 30: Survive and Advance
Just watched this last night. Would really recommend it to anyone. Probably one of the best sports documentaries I've seen in a long time. Follows NC St and Jim Valvano's championship run in 1983.

If you have Comcast, it's On Demand.

The best one I've seen was the soccer one "The Two Escobars." And I hate soccer.

But Survive and Advance.....absolutely awesome. Donated to the V Foundation today too, great documentary.

The entire Valvano family are nothing but class acts. I was in Raleigh this last year for the Jimmy V golf tourney and it was a blast. Got to hang out w/ Barkley and Gugliotta at a club too lol.

That's awesome. Yeah he seemed like a great guy. Not enough Jimmy V's in sports these days.

Great episode. I love the 30 for 30s and this was one of the best. Forgot how many close games they won -- unreal.

Question: Did any of you cry while watching it?

I got pretty choked up at times, and I was never a huge fan of Valvano. It was cool to see how his ex-players think of him still to this day. Have to respect the man and his relationship with them.

                          Yup. Watched it again today.

                          Cried a few times.

Inspired. Special guy. Not many like him in life, let alone sports.

I was a Phi Slama Jama fan, and still cried during this one. Valvano was definitely a gift to the world. Real life "Italian Stallion".
