    Betting the NCAA Championship Futures
I have a very simple and quick way of determining if a team has a good shot at winning the NCAA championship. How many potential NBA draft picks are on the team? If you look back at all the past champions, they had multiple NBA draft picks on their team. 2012 Kentucky, 2011 Connecticut, 2010 Duke, 2009 North Carolina, 2008 Kansas, 2007-6 Florida.

Go to nbadraft.net to see mock draft for 2013 and 2014.

This method eliminates Louisville, Gonzaga, Georgetown, Miami, Florida, Ohio St., Michigan St., Marquette, Syracuse.

That leaves only a few real possibilities. They are: Indiana, Kansas, Duke, and the ultimate dark horse: Michigan.

You can get Michigan now at +1500.

It's rather silly this year because there's not many good prospects so there's no "elite" teams to be scared off.

I'd rather get Kansas +1250 than Michigan +1500 anyway.

I am just telling you what has worked in the past. It is very hard to win 6 straight in the tournament without NBA talent, and preferably more than 1 future NBA draft pick. Even the lowly rated UConn team that won in 2011 had Kemba Walker and Jeremy Lamb, two NBA first rounders!

Who is the 2nd guy? I don't see him on the mock draft list.

Kenny Kadji is projected as a 2nd rounder. No one else on that team is listed. There is no way Shane Larkin, Durand Scott, or Reggie Johnson would make an NBA squad. They are D-league material at best.

Yeah, I think Larkin gets drafted......and I'm not so sure Scott doesn't get drafted in the second round.

Yeah, Payne and Harris will both be drafted, and could be first rounders in another year.

this thread really makes no sense though good call on MIchigan i guess.

NC State, Syracuse, and Michigan have the most NBA prospects and you only mentioned 1 of them. Uconn and Duke did not have that much talent yes 2+ players but many teams you ruled out have 2+ NBA players. Syracuse has 5 NBA players probably lol
