Like Tenn St/Morehead today, we have another situation where Wofford has beat Georgia twice this year. Very hard to beat a team 3x in one year, which is why I loved Tenn St today. Wofford has been playing better basketball lately, but I like Georgia So. to get the W here. 11:30et game. Lock it up.

#2I read an interesting piece the other day that "there have been 981 D1 games over the past 10 seasons where a team was 2-0 entering the third game. The 2-0 teams are a combined 710-271 (.724 winning percentage) in the third meeting." Granted, this is probably skewed because teams that are more talented will probably beat an inferior team 3 times in a year (i.e. Gonzaga beating Portland 3 times in a year. Still, I hope your sole reason for playing Ga. Southern +3 isn't for the "tough to beat a team 3 times in a year" reason.
Georgia Southern's depth took a hit when they lost their backup point guard Holmes a week or so ago for the rest of the year. Think they are down to a 6 man rotation with no backup guards that make contributions.Comment -

#3Well i guess Tenn St bucked that trend today, because i was on them big. And no the 3x in one season IS NOT the only factor. Georgia So. Being 8-3 ATS in the past 11 meetings is another factor, among many. I'm not here to write 1000 word write ups for my reasoning on a pick. People can do their own research, and if my pick gels with theirs they can tail, if not fade. And to your Holmes point. He had 7 points and 4 turnovers the last game they played Wofford. Don't think they're going to miss him that much. And if you want to talk about depth issues, just look at what my Colorado Buffs did to Oregon tonight withou our best player AND a very week bench. It just so happened that the Buffs bench stepped up like never before and crushed a ranked Oregon team.Comment -

#4Not bashing on you, but the way you described your pick made it sound like your basis for taking Georgia southern was the 3 times in one season myth. Stating they were 8-3 ATS their last 11 games would be a better reason for picking them than that.
Comparing Colorado & Georgia Southern is like comparing apples and oranges. Even without Roberson, Colorado is still a better team than a not fully healthy Artis led Oregon team. Colorado also was playing at home and Oregon has not played well on the road this year without Artis.Comment -

#5The point is, when players go down teams have to step up their game. Buffs could have easily faltered tonight with Dre being out, BUT our bench rose to the occasion. And our bench leaves a lot to be desired. This is exactly what G. Southern needs to do, even without a average at best turnver prone backup pg.
I agree Colorado is a better team with or without Artis, but how do you explain th Buffs squeaking out a win in Eugene in the last seconds of the game...in a game they never led WITH Roberson playing? Who made the game winner btw. Your telling me Colorado wins in Eugene even without Roberson because they're that much better than a healthy Artis led team? Everyone had put way too much weight into that run Oregon went on at THE BEGINNING of the year with Artis. PAC 12 ball is in full swing now, and with or without Artis, Oregon is an average PAC 12 teamComment -

All I am saying is that without Artis, Oregon is a mediocre team at best. Unless they can get back to the way they were playing before Artis got hurt, I can't see this team winning a tourney game.Comment -
