S.Miss/Marshall Over 138.5 2.2 units
Three senior players on the Marshall University men's basketball team want to make a statement in their final home game. "We're definitely going to come out playing like that, especially our three seniors," said senior Rob Goff before Monday's practice. "We have to come out and bring it."
Here is the thing Marshall don't know how to bring it defensively because they don't know how to get stops when it is needed, so it will come on the offensive end. S.Miss will run with any team willing to do so and Marshall is willing, play this contest over the total.
UTEP +4 2.2units
"Anytime you play a ranked team, everybody is energized," UTEP coach Tim Floyd said. "I think our place (the Haskins Center) will be jacked up" This is UTEP's game of the year. The one constant for UTEP has been defense. The Miners have had trouble scoring at times, but the defense has been there on most evenings. They lead C-USA in scoring defense, giving up just 60.6 points a game.
The Miners have also played a strong schedule, having faced a trio of teams that have been in the Top 25 at one point -- losing at Arizona, losing at home to UNLV (62-60) and beating Oregon in the Haskins Center [Oregon & UNLV are both uptempo team like Memphis]. Play the home dog looking to slow the game for a signature win.
Bama +5 1.1 units
Ole Miss off a in-state rivalry emotional game to play a good defensive team that can take them out their shooting rhythm in Alabama. Also Bama will want to finish as high as possible in this down year for SEC.
Indiana 1st half -4 1.1 units
If it ain't broke don't fix it play on fasting starting Hoosiers who are going for 13 in a row 1st half cover. Anyone looking for full game play should take the points as backdoor will be open 2nd half with Indy having Michigan on deck.
Cleveland St +4 0.55units
Cleveland St beat the offensively challenged Flames twice this year with rebounding edge of 4, 15 and they moved the ball much better, look for more of the same as Horizon tournament begins.
