I started a ML parlay chase shortly before Christmas. The criteria were that the teams had to be favored by 7-13 points and ken Pomeroy had to agree that they were at least seven-point favorites. Also, favorites were almost always at home. I usually use three teams but occasionally go to four with the last one being a 12-13 point favorite. As we know, the more teams, the more chances for an upset to kill the bet. The other system I started last night involves two teams as 4-6 point favorites.

I erased it last night to start a new series of bets, but I believe I went 18-15. One chase went to four and three to three. Another aspect is that I try to put early games together so I can make a late bet should I lose. Valpo got me last night but I recouped with three 10 o'clock games.

Fridays are always light, but I was in luck with four games that met the criteria.

RI Valpo Loyola and Tulane all won. Bet 50 and won 55. In general, I try to make the payoff come to around what I'm betting.

I usually stay away from road favorites unless I have confidence in them. Pitt starts the day at Rutgers. I play a smaller ML parlay with two teams, so I probably will go with the Panthers but only because it's the second leg of the chase. Lines in the 4-6.5 range are not abundant.

Saturday is a great day for this because I can bet early and often. College basketball games last two hours compared to more than three for the NFL, and that helps in this scenario.

One more thing: It was either here or Covers that a guy was betting the dog line on whether there would be a run scored in the first inning. Once he won, he ended his chase for the day. My thinking is that if something is working, you keep going with it.
