i cashed out once with 5dimes but was a bit of a hassle.

What payout method do you all use? Should i switch books? From USA. I heard you can cash out like once a month for $20 fee or some thing.

Yes whenever signing up through JM links or affiliating yourself in anyway with JM at books, they change the lines, as I found out with BetUS too.

5dimes I found to be the best so far, quick cashout, took about 3-4 working days. Cashed out 3 times with them and no problems.

Moneybookers or Skrill (as it's known now), I find to be quick and easy.

With 5Dimes you get One FREE withdrawal per month, as long as it is on a specific day of the month. If you wanted the free day on a monday then it would have to be requested on a monday from then on, and so forth.

Limit & wallco, what do your spread sheets look like? I requested info several times, but looks like only way I am going to get it is if I do it myself. I am going to be testing and comparing the traditional (3 point buy), 1-3-5, 7/5, and labby with the John morrison system this weekend. I think I have a good lay out for it, but since you two seem to be masters of back testing; thought I would get some tips first.

Going take some time, but with two whole free days finally I should have enough hours to do everything I need. I am looking to do a back test from 2005-2006 season to present time. I do not want to go back to far because of time issue. I can always add more years later.

Thanks Limit, I just looked at it right now and remember seeing it earlier this season. I am going to make one a little more detailed though based on day to day wins and losses. Not just the total series win / loss. The way that one is listed shows 1 unit even if A and B loses and than C wins. I want my graph to show the losses from A & B, then a big jump for the recovery on C.

Because there are so few series that actually lose overall you can not see the true variance of the system. For instance if every game went to C and every C wager won, then your graph would just keep going up consistently unless you record the losses.

I do appreciate the help though, especially the exact post #.

My problem was my CC expired and I got a new one from my bank, but of course different card number. I threw away my old one which created a hassle. Anyways eventually got taken care of, but had to confirm same documents with two different departments instead of them just transferring them over to their other department. At least next time I know what to do.

Started my back test and going back to the 07-08 season has any team ever lost back to back series? I've only got two teams tested going back to 07 - 08 season, but neither of those teams ever lost back to back series.

Makes me wonder if we should up our 2nd series if the team lost their previous series.

Steve, how will you deal with NYK series? They didn't cover @LAL, they pushed @PHX and they didn't cover tonight @SAC (if you don't buy points of course). Their next game is at home so no C bet can be made.

If there next game is at home then series is over. Counts as a win for traditional JM method, a small loss for 1-3-5, and labby will carry on the loss into the next series with another team.

One good argument for doing it is that you should play as many successful systems as you can because it spreads the risk. The problem is how you apportion that risk. My way is to look at the backtesting stats and establish how often, on average, each chasing system loses. Lets say "System 1" loses 20 units once in every 30 wins (10 unit profit every 30 bets). That system therefore requires an absolute minimum BR of 40 units, ensuring that I will always have at least 20 units available to continue playing it after a loss. I then account for the maximum number of series that might be active simultaneously within that system by checking the schedules. Lets say that "System 1" doesn't normally play more than 3 teams at a time. So, to ensure cash availability, I multiply the minimum BR by 3 and arrive at 120 units. I then do the same calc for "System 2" and so on to establish each system's BR requirement. Lets now say that the total BR required by all the systems is 600 units. I divide my actual cash holding available by the total BR requirement of 600 units and the result is my normal maximum dollar target for all the systems. An element of common sense has to be thrown in when a low odds ML bet is on the horizon, which is why I stated the "normal maximum" dollar target. You will see that the maximum dollar target is a very low percentage of the cash holding (1/600th), but it provides for multiple systems, with multiple series, every day using a single BR and a slow but steady trickle feed in the right direction.

Or you can split up your cash holding and have a separate BR for each system. Either way, each dollar target will always be a very small percentage of your total cash holding.
