Anybody like Denver +6 in Philly?
Two pretty even and similar teams. Both like to push the tempo but the 76ers are the superior defensive team. Nuggets are a better shooting squad and probably the best shooting team the Sixers have played so far. 6 points is too much to give here, this game could go either way.

Nuggets ML at +220 or so should be a play. Great value.

I could not agree more. Sixers have played three teams in the top half of the NBA, and they are 1-2 against them. Denver is the best team Philly has played all year. Yeah, it's a back-to-back, but this line is still too high.

I'd like them a lot more if they didn't play last night, but I still lean Denver.

76ers have a couple injuries. Turner and Hawes are game-time decisions. They can make up for Turner but Hawes has been a real presence this year and they don't have anyone viable backing him up.

Its hard to play Denver here - just looking at a few of their games indicates how much their play can vary. For instance, looking at them against the Heat, they played unbelievably well. On the other hand, games like against the Hornets and even Jazz, they couldnt get it together. So if they click and come to play, they might be able to cover here, but I still like 76ers here since I believe they are the more consistent team, and home court is def. a big factor here along with B2B for Nuggets

When did I say they weren't? I was just giving a comparison of Denver's performance against several teams.
And I wanted to point out how they did so well against a team like Heat, which has more talent, than against teams with 'lesser' talent.

You're pointing to a couple games where they were overconfident as favorites. Denver is 4-1 ATS this year as a dog (including the win at Miami) and 17-4 ATS as a dog since trading Carmelo last year.

                                Going with:

                                Denver +5.5 at Philly
Golden State +3.5 at New Jersey
                                Atlanta -2 vs. Portland

Philly had played garbage the entire year. They're my home team but a fact is a fact. This is a 5-6 seed. Not a 2 seed. But they may fall into a 2-3 because of the Knicks/Celtics being quite streaky with poor starts.

Last time they were without Hawes (like tonight) they couldn't rebound and fell behind NYK by 17.

Philly likely wins by 2-3 or loses a nailbiter. If they trail, it won't be by 10-17 throughout like the Knicks game, but they will probably never pull away by more than 7-8 at any point. Likewise, the Nuggets won't lead by more than 8-10.

These are two evenly matched teams. Sixers have a slightly better record than Denver because of the schedule. No Hawes gives Denver a little advantage, or at least evens out the home court, IMO.

Anyone stating "Philly covers easily" or "Denver will lose by 10" likely has never seen either team play. It'll be close.

I've watched every 76ers game except the Bucks game on MLK Day.

Best of luck, will be rooting for the Nugs and Warriors tonight.

I think Denver wins outright tonight guys. A lot of people are worried about the back to back thing but the books are going to make money on that because the public will overreact to that angle. Denver has enough depth so that it shouldn't be much of an issue.

The Sixers haven't played a team that can shoot the rock like Denver. The Nuggets will make some timely 3s tonight and steal this one.

Yes, Sixers competition has sucked but it is impressive when their home margin of victory is something like 15. They lost at two hard places to play early in the season (Portland, Utah), and at NY in a close game on the tail end of a B2B2B.

My brain is telling me to take Denver but my gut is saying Philly wins big.... Philly has won the last 3 games - 2 of those in Denver.

                                                                  Recommendation:
This is tough news for Hawes owners who were already sweating his balky back, but for now it looks like he may be a game-time decision at best for at least a few games. For Wednesday's matchup he will be replaced by rookie Nikola Vucevic in the starting lineup.
