The celtics and lakers dont suck just bc theyve started the season slow. Both teams will finish in the top-4 in their respective conferences. I agree they haven't been good, but injuries have played a big part in the slow starts.

Celtics and Lakers are both overpriced and will stay that way all season. I'll post my bets against them in advance, using this post, and we'll see who's right. BTW, I assume you bet Celtics and Lakers? Otherwise, why would you give a shit?

Like I said, I got the Pacers ML at +220. In other words, the Celtics are about 5:2 favorites. The question isn't whether they win TONIGHT (although I hope they don't), but whether they deserve that 5:2 edge the book gives them. Over the course of the season, we'll see.

hey man, I agree with you that lakers and celts are overpriced.. I think it has a lot to do with how the public bets and what the public watches (i.e. lakers and celts on tv get the hypemachine big time).. thus I think their prices are def inflated.. however... when the buzzer sounds at the end of the game, who will be the winner? I'm on celts ML.. and paying the price for it too. Gotta respect your play though-bol to you my friend.

Someone agrees with me, even if it ain't you. I checked the line again before replying: The Pacers moved from 5:2 to 2:1.

It ain't my money today. I'm up 2.2 fading the Celtics last week.
This one's a little more risky. The Lakers are at home and the Grizzlies don't have a lot to offer.
The morning line had Memphis ML +2.70 and +7 at -102. I split a unit between the two, because, after all, LAKERS SUCK!

Lakers have had one of the heaviest schedules early in the season. Which means even more this year after short training camps. Teams with lighter schedules have had more practices in between games. It will iron out and Lakers will finish 2nd in the West behind OKC.

The spread's widening on tonight's game, so I'm glad I went easy. But in general, I still figure they're overpriced, and that idea will pay out through the season. Do you figure their predicted finish justifies their price?

                          Lakers Suck. Go Suns.

I lost 1.02 to the Lakers v. Grizzlies last game, but that was shakey, anyway. I'm still up 1.18 from the Celtics fade v. Pacers.

Nash should play tonight; I know the Lakers are rightfully favored at home, but the Suns at +310?! Surely, that's overpricing the Lakers! If the Suns don't get them tonight, the Lakers' crazy odds will sooner or later catch up with them. And I'll be ready to collect. I skipped the 8-point point spread, because, come on! 3.1:1?! That's payment enough. 1 unit on the Suns.

                              I retract

My statement that "Lakers Suck, Celtics Suck" was too general. I had the Bulls last night, but they were expected to win. I don't bet every game fading Lakers and Celts, because they're not always overpriced. And I even have the Lakers tonight as an underdog against the Clippers. So, to put it simply, I was wrong. But you already knew that, right?
