12/31 Hawks @ Rockets

Rockets will win this game....Rockets are always a tough team to beat at home and now that the Hawks are 3-0, it will give us the best possible line for this game...Well I wouldn't say best possible but the line is definitely inflated if the game is opening as the Hawks favored by 1....there is no way in hell that if this game was played 100 times that the Hawks would win more than 45 games, and then you still gotta throw in the 2nd game off a back-to-back...There is not going to be any kind of letdown from the Rockets beating the Spurs because the Spurs are not "the team to beat" anymore and they laid already laid their egg in Memphis...but speaking of situational spots, the Hawks do have the Heat up next, so no telling if they marked that game on their calendars or not...

Just noticed it will be Atlanta's 4th game in 5 nights. WOW

i definitely see a let down spot here being all happy that they're 3-0 before facing miami on monday

Cmon guys you are overthinking this in a big big way, Atlanta takes this game... I'm not playing it because there are better games on the board however i am leaning it as of right now. Atlanta will not over look any team right now, and haven't really beaten anyone, they will be looking to make a BIG statement. Houston beat a san antonio team off a b2b, and shot LIGHTS out. Scola is THE ONLY consistent players on Houston, other then Lowry (kind of) Hawks have more athletes, has more depth. The score was somewhat close in the Hawks game but they weren't ever in real jeapardy of losing that game tonight. Hawks OR NO PLAY!!

I dont need a boxscore man I watched the game, anytime the game got close Atlanta went on a run, they held a comfortable 6-10 point lead most of the game. I'm not sure what your point is?

You also show me a boxscore where the Rockets BARELY won, and had Aaron Brooks, Chuck Hayes, and Shane Battier on the team from a game that is more than a YEAR old, you dont think that makes a difference?

This is a tough call. First back to back to back of the year, interested to see how it plays out. I would lean Atlanta because they are every bit as deep as Houston and I'm not sold on Houston yet this year. Didn't show up tonight and if it was because they were burnt from the night before they're in trouble. Atlanta is a well put together club that should expose Houston's lack of front court depth. No play for me but would expect Atlanta to come out on top.

I watched that game too and I remember thinking with 2 minutes left to go in the game that I should have took Nets ML at +700 rather than the 11 points....of course I was happy with my choice in the end.....just goes to show the Hawks are over rated right now in Vegas....that 7 point victory in all reality was only a 2 point game with 21 seconds to go...im glad it got to 7 points though because now the Hawks are favored in Houston....I honestly believe that if the Hawks won today by less than 5 points then they would not be favored in Houston....

The Lakers started the season with a back to back to back and won the 3rd game....I know the Rockets are no Lakers but the back to back to back as already been defeated this year and i feel this young Rockets team has a good chance of doing the same thing tomorrow

Obviously you wont be changing your mind, so will just have to wait til game time. I watched that game also and Atlanta was up the whole game, and again you can say all you want that it was closer then 7 points but when gambling it's the final score that counts. Hawks are 3-0 and have been blowing teams out, the starters have rested up. The hawks have no big man other then Sammy D, who will no doubt not be in the best shape off a b2b2b. Let's not even comment about the Rockets absolute BEAT DOWN they got by Memphis!I cashed betting against Rox today and I might do it again tomorrow (like i said much better games on board) but It's Hawks or no play!!

Nothing is guaranteed but I do feel that given the situation that they have tomorrow the Rockets win at least 55% of the time...
