Nuggets Cover and Win Saturday night vs. Lakeshow
Nuggets +5.5 is a really good play Saturday night. The ML at around +200 will be well worth a play too. Denver is deep and a bad matchup for the Lakers. They play at a fast pace and have guys who can shoot and the Lakers have shown that they don't close out quickly enough on good shooters.

Everyone is back on the Lakeshow train after 2 good wins but we all know that the Lakers are one of the most overpriced teams in basketball year in and year out.

Id take them all day at 5.5 IF Bynum was still out. Lakers are gonna be pounding the glass tonight.

Lakers are overpriced on the spread but they will win the game. There defense has been awesome except the sac game. They have allowed 71/82 and 88 points in the 3 non sac games. Brown has them playing ferocious d. Den is overhyped. They won't be a good road team.

What do you guys think about Bynum this year? He might average close to 20 a game if they go to him as much as Brown says they plan on doing.

If he's healthy he'll be great. It's simple as that. I'm sure he's really looking forward to the game.

Denver is a great team, don't get me wrong but Timofey Mozgov can't guard Bynum and if they put Nene on him, you are gonna have Pau against a smaller Birdman or Harrington. I kinda like the Lakers tomorrow.

Yea Bynum might have a monster year if he stays healthy but I would trade him once his value peaks.

I kind of just think the Lakers won't give a shit tomorrow to be honest.

Bynum is a waste of space. He will always have injury problems.

I'm leaning Denver because Bynum is back.

The Lakers were finally gelling with their rotations and everything. Now Bynum comes back and they play a different style. Think they might struggle this game getting used to their new rotations. Even though they look better on paper, I think they'll struggle. I don't know the history in these kind of situations, but that is what my logic tells me

this game could be close with 2 minutes to go and then 2 threes change the game. Nuggets look good based on the matchups.

if those refs tonight who gave the bulls all those calls stay in LA tonight and give the same calls to the lakers (the nba's darling franchise) the nuggets lose by 15

yeah I like that matchup. Kobe will work hard for his 25.

This will be a coaches dual. Karl will come out with a small lineup in the 2nd quarter and force Brown to put Artest at the PF or have gasol get lit guarding Harrington. Will Bryant guard Ty Lawson? I don't like the idea of Fisher guarding him when he can guard Affalo.

I was very impressed with Denver in Portland the other night. Their quickness can really disturb the Lakers rhythm. The Nugs forced 26 turnovers in Portland and only committed 5 themselves. If they take care of the ball like that and get some turnovers they'll win against this laker team. They also drew a lot of charges on the blazers. Karl has these boys playing D and playing fast.

Good point-guard play gives the lakers total fits. Especially the penetrating quick kind. Ty Lawson is going to cause havoc for that laker defense, and they have miller who can do an adequate job when he's resting.

I LOOOVED the Lakers over the knicks the other night because the knicks don't have a point guard and have putrid guards. It's an easy win for the Lakers when they face teams with sub-mediocre to mediocre guard play (especially at the PG position). The rebounding department should scare any nuggets backer. With Bynum back that's an incredibly long front court who know how to position themselves. This is an excellent rebounding team with Bynum in there. Creating extra 2nd chance opportunuties and negating 2nd chance opportunities for the nuggets could be the difference in the game.

It's all about how the lakers approach this game. I've seen them come out totally flat when they know they're facing a very fast team like the Nuggets, and I've seen them coming to play and rebounding like tazmanian devils crashing the boards. Who knows really.

What I do know is the Nuggets will come to play. George Karl has those guys focused and ready to go.

Do you really expect a backdoor cover? I was thinking the opposite considering this is the first game of a back to back to back for the Nuggets. Can't imagine them stepping on the gas if this one is out of hand in the 4th...

a scary proposition for any Nuggets backer is Nene getting into foul trouble with Bynum/Gasol up there

When they had K-mart and nene they could get away with a little more. Now though, when the nuggets play some really strong frontcourts, nene and the position he's playing I foresee him in foul trouble this year more than before.

If Bynum was out of this game I'd lean nuggets. But it's a no-play for me with bynum in there

The Nuggets will keep this game close, and they match up very well against LAL. The lakers feast on teams they can overmatch with physicality, Kobe, Ron, Mcrob, and even Fisher like to push players around. They struggle against uptempo physical teams who can push back. Lawson, Afflalo make up one of the best back courts (defensively) in the league. This should be a good game and come down to the last couple possessions, I'm taking the over in this one, but if i was taking the spread I'm taking the points and Denver ALL DAY LONG!!

if kobe plays like he did against the nyk denver has no chance. I think he is going to be unreal this year, and I'm a celts fan so it pains me to say that.

No chance he plays the way he played against the Knicks. Fields is a good defender but Mike D has ZERO defensive scheme and never emphasizes rotation or TEAM d. Nugz will double kobe, Trap Kobe, put different players on him and mix in zone. Kobe will get his but he won't go off without Karl being a difference maker. The Knicks are a terrible team, below average, and extremely undiscplined on defense. The Knicks will be a good fade for the next few weeks. Losing Chauncey was HUGE, and will be a big deal for them this year. BIG!!!

Should be a great game tomorrow. The Lakers have always had trouble with really good PG's, and I could see Ty Lawson giving them all kinds of problems. Something tells me LA pulls it out though.

Surprised no one has mentioned this.,

I just looked at the surrounding schedule and realized these guys have a weekend tilt.

Sunday the lakers play in Denver.

In this case I' m leaning on the home team for both games. If something goes awry early or at the midpoint of the 1st game denver may just flaunt it knowing they get another shot at the Lakers in their friendly arena the next day (where the nuggets play well)

Plus, it's new year's weekend and the nuggets are in los angeles, probably out partying before an afternoon game saturday.

Not with a home & home in the next two days... The Nuggets will absolutely come to play on Saturday. Early game on NYE, I'll take the road team and would lean Under generally. Denver has a huge edge in the second game regardless due to their greater familiarity with playing at elevation, so I would expect them to press in the first game, while hoping to steal both.

The Nuggets ML is worth a small play.

whatever happens Saturday Im going with Denver Sunday.

That older slower LA team running up and down the floor with denver 2 days in a row? In higher elevation on top of it ??

It may be a no-play for me saturday but I hope LA beats em good saturday to inflate the sunday line.
