The Bulls game was actually the first one that caught my eye, but for some reason, I'm having a really hard time pulling the trigger. Over the last couple of seasons, Milwaukee has actually played Chicago very tough. Bogut is out, but so is Deng. Taj Gibson is expected to play, but Rose and Noah are both playing injured. I think Milwaukee is going to play with energy tonight, so I don't think I'll touch it.

Such a tough spot for Boston off that emotional win last night, but I surely wouldn't bet against them right now either. I have no clue which Celtics team will show up tonight. Hope it hits for you.

Could be similar to how the Grizz lost to the Blazers the night after coming back to beat GS. Only difference though is that the C's will have the home crowd behind them.

I think one of the biggest differences between teams like the Celtics and the rest of the NBA is that they're so firmly anchored in a professional mindset via veteran players and strong coaching. They play a certain brand of basketball, even when missing three of their starters, and that consistency is a critical part of their success.

That's why I have more faith in the Celtics in this situation to take advantage of the positive momentum they have right now and not let the emotional high turn into a letdown. Not to say they're immune to letdowns, but I would say they're less likely to experience extreme highs and lows. Other teams like this include: the Spurs under Popovich, the Lakers under Phil Jackson, the Mavs under Carlisle, etc. You know what you're going to get from them.

I think this is the right time to ride Boston for a while as they correct their early season disappointment with a string of strong performances.

If Celtics hold onto this lead by the half...you gonna think about middling?

                      edit - nevermind...line -4 and got Boston at +4.

I almost never middle anymore. I find it's more hassle than it's worth.

The Celtics upcoming week is: Cavs, @Cavs, Raptors, Knicks, and I think it's a great time to be on Boston. The Knicks game in particular is circled on my calendar as NY plays the Bulls at home the night before, then flies to Boston, and has New Jersey on the third night in a row.

                              Kings +9 (-103) x3

Jimmer Fredette makes his return to Salt Lake City in a starting role. The atmosphere in Energy Solutions Arena is going to be unreal tonight, and I think the Jazz are getting too much respect here in a tough spot. Sacramento has had an absolutely brutal schedule so far this season, with a lot of travel and 13 of 19 games against very tough opponents. This team is definitely better than their current record implies, and fatigue combined with bad coaching have made for a rough beginning as the team sorts out its identity.

That being said, the Kings have had two full days off and have two more off after this game. The Jazz are on a B2B where they had to travel to Dallas and then come home to face a team that's been waiting for them. Marcus Thornton being out hurts the Kings, but Jimmer has now had a few games as a starter and has really started to find his comfort zone at the NBA level. For him, this will essentially be a home game as his sizable BYU fan base will be out in full force.

As for the line, the Jazz covered -7 against Minnesota and -8 against New Jersey, however both of these teams were coming into those games on the second half of B2Bs. The Raptors came in as +10.5 dogs on a B2B and won SU. I think the Jazz being on the road yesterday combined with the Kings' 2 days off (after an ugly blowout home loss) and Jimmer's return to Salt Lake City makes this a really tough spot for the Jazz, and -9 is way too many points to be laying. I think we see a big game from the Kings tonight.

That couldn't have been written any better, with Jimmer taking the potential go-ahead 3 point shot at the end there, haha.

I like Boston at the current -6.5.

In Miami, Deng not being available to guard Lebron is a big deal. I think the revitalized Heat team with the return of Wade/Miller should overpower the Bulls today.

Edit...nvm got it at 6.5 before tip

I think the little hot cover streak Boston had going has its days numbered. Magic might be the next wave, fading them that is

Agreed. The Mavs have been lounging at home for a week though with just this one road game and then back home again. Steve Nash in or out, the Mavs will need to play a strong 48 here, and I like the Suns to play a good game tonight.

I actually regret not putting more on it at -2, as I don't expect it to go back. The Celtics had that last game won with 4 minutes to go and the Cavs just took it away. I think the short line belies the C's chances of winning this game.
