#2347True. According to NESN (New England Sports Network), Garnett will be out tonight.Originally posted by ChiLLxGarnett may be out again.
Anyway, the Celtics line was released and they are + 7.5. I'm waiting out and hoping the line will go up once the Garnett news (and maybe Rondo news - he might be suspended) is made more public.
(And oh, just so I don't confuse anyone...we're talking about an unofficial C bet here on the Celtics. I've been playing 1-3-5 all year and made the decision to keep playing it until the all-star break, when I'll switch to 7/5)Comment -

#2355We’ve had a good run of A Bet wins lately, so I thought it would be appropriate to review the B/C system.
<O
</O
B - C Bets v Regular A - C Bets:</SPAN>
Buy 3 points (odds -182 or 1.55). No ML bets
Series total risk:
A-C, to win 1 unit: 21.45
B-C to win 3 units: 20.86
From thelimit0310’s latest post (Feb 20):<O
</O
<O
</O
Totals (all versions):
A: 40-21
B: 15-6
C: 5-1
61 JM series completed so far, to Feb 20.
Results:</SPAN>
60-1 </SPAN>
See posts from thelimit0310 (good work, buddy) for details.
A-C Bets = 60 wins x 1 unit minus 1 loss @ 21.45 units = 38.55 units profit.
A Bet failures: 21 occasions (66.57% success rate).
B-C Bets = 20 wins x 3 units minus 1 loss @ 20.86 units = 39.14 units profit.
B Bet failures: 6 occasions (71.43% success rate)
C Bet failures: 1 occasion (83.33% success rate)
We are approx half way through the regular season. The B&C bettors have equal profits following an unusually long winning streak on the A Bets. However, anyone who has just started the B/C 7/5 unit strategy will now have an additional 4 units.
Interestingly, with 83.33% success, the best strategy is to bet to win 11 units on C bets (risk 20 units): 44 units profit so far this season.
Despite recent success with the A Bets, current stats continue to support historical data that time and money is wasted by betting from the A Bet.
Good luck to all, whatever your strategy
Kev

#2357Further to my ramblings above regarding the C Bet success:
Betting on the C Bet alone is effectively flat betting with 80% success historically (83.33% this season so far). So, moving on, if the bettor chases the C bets over 3 games the success rate becomes 100%, because 3 C bets have never lost back to back (to my knowledge). I'm not suggesting bets to win 11 units (A), 31 units (B) and rarely 42 units (c). What I am suggesting, however, is that the bettor can scale his unit value as he sees fit. One idea would be to carry forward a quarter of the latest series loss to the next 3 C Bets. Do that until all 4 quarters are recovered and ultimately, the system becomes perfect. Well, that's the theory....Interestingly, with 83.33% success, the best strategy is to bet to win 11 units on C bets (risk 20 units): 44 units profit so far this season.Comment -

We will ALWAYS play the M/L on favorites and the point spread (-110) on dogs. There is no point buying in this system, with one exception, if your team is the favorite, and buying down to a zero point spread is cheaper than playing the M/L, then by all means, buy the points, otherwise, M/L on all favorites and point spread on dogs. All results will be based on this principle. All lines and standings are based on FINAL lines from ScoresandOdds.com/. If one of the teams we are playing switches from a favorite to a dog, after my initial post, make sure you get the appropriate line if it differs from what I have posted. The wins and losses will be based on who is the dog team, and who is the favorite on ScoresandOdds.com/ final lines. I will try to update my post as often as I can throughout the day, if the lines change, but it is the individual bettor’s responsibility to get the appropriate line if it differs from my post. On occasion, we will have plays that go head-head. The system will grade ALL bets, regardless of opponents, how you wish to play these games is your choice.Comment -

Better yet....is it possible to achieve same results ( perhaps a different bet strategy)...no filters, no M/L, and no points. Also...if you lose a C bet towards end of season....you may be holding onto that loss til the following season if 1 or 2 more C's don't pop up. Maybe the B/C 7/5 method that has been tested is way to go, but push any C loses out over next several C bets as you have suggested. May not be practical depending on size of bet and your bankroll...but anytime you can think of 100% and perfect is worth discussion for sure.Comment -

#2377First off I don't care if someone else posts the plays other than me. I'm just doing my part to help out. Too many takers in the forum and not enough givers. That said I commend Bugs on posting the plays for me. I did post that day but if I couldn't get around to it it would not have been the first time! I'm glad someone is willing to take the time out to fill the shoes if I'm busy. All I ask is that whoever does post is accurate, if there are 3 different play posts with different content I believe that is worse than no post at all.Originally posted by J.M. Disciple

Can someone update the record with the unofficial losses for JM (I think only two)?
As to your question directed to me, I haven't been recording the results since the season's beginning. What you ask would require me to backtest the method up to today, which I don't have much time for at the moment seeing as I'm trying to get a version of it for the MLB off the ground. I did plan on providing the record and unit count with losses by the end of the season marking 9 years of data. If I can do it sooner, I will.
Lastly here are the unofficial losses you requested along with series start date: Milwaukee on 1/2, Houston on 1/3, and Boston on 2/16. Phoenix and Orlando also were unofficial series from the A bet but Orlando won last night on the B bet and Phoenix won on their C bet.Comment -

#2378Just to touch up on this a bit more for 7/5. As you can see the unofficial losses with Milwaukee and Houston were very close together. Playing 7/5 would have caused you to lose over 43% of your roll within a day or two span playing unofficial games like that. You would have had some cash won already, though there is no doubt it would still have hit you hard. I don't have the actual stats from my backtest of occurances like this, but I did test for it and it did happen in plenty of the backtested seasons playing unofficial games. Playing unofficial B/C bets with 7/5 even caused some seasons to go DEEP red, one season even went from a positive season to almost -100 units. As I stated a couple days ago, my best results were calculated without playing these unofficial games and of course without using JM's ML filter. The A bets MUST lose by 3.5 points to the spread to be a play and to achieve the best results. Dancing around that may give you a short term gain, but in the long run you will be put out - and that's a fact.Originally posted by thelimit0310Lastly here are the unofficial losses you requested along with series start date: Milwaukee on 1/2, Houston on 1/3, and Boston on 2/16. I know a few of you have been itching for plays, so I just wanted to caution everyone here about jumping through hoops to qualify more plays. You've been warned!Comment -

#2380JM has lost the plot. JJ does indeed have a new system: same as the old system but also avoid worst teams in their conferences. One series loss so far from 24. It was Detroit in early Jan, lying 2nd bottom at the time. So, with 23-1 record he's climbed back up to the green zone. Also, like last season, he doesn't e-mail all system picks as per the pdf. I've bet and won (A Bet) at least 6 times without his e-mail.Originally posted by NZT-48hey Kev -) thanks man.....oh well wacky man I see JM is still has no clue.....I havent really done any betting in mos but this clown seems to never change.....hey Kev u still playing JJ Triple Play?.....and if so how has he done this year?.....hes got a v2.0 out now too hmmmm
