LTA... As we start to think towards the playoffs I was wondering should we be looking at some form of futures bet for it ?

I know you're a big Bulls fan so this may affect your reasoning but from a neutral point of view who do you think has a reasonable shot at it this year and may even be some value.

My own opinion is that I think there could be a few shocks in the West but the East will go to form. I am slow to call someone to win it though but think the Grizz could be worth a very small play for value purposes.

The Clippers are the better team. That's first and when I can get the better team as dog wherever it is I will always have to look into. Then, the Clippers are really THE BETTER TEAM.Their offense is still, even though inconsistent, one of the top 3 or 5 in the league. They now have also one of the best defenses since march. After being last in the league in DRTG in the start of the season, they are now almost over the league average and if they keep playing as of late, they will be in the top half of the league by the playoffs. They match-up fairly well against the Suns, with some lenghty guys in Butler or Young who can force some tough jumpers and they have been much better lately guarding the pick 'n roll. their only issue will be to avoid foul trouble. they set the pace last night and if they do that again today, they have every reason to show they are better then the Suns and come up with a win that would also give them the 4th place in the West.

I see your point. My angle was mainly on the line and situational factors. Phoenix have so much more to play for, coming off a loss, Clips coming off a tough win in Denver then back on the road again. The line confuses me and leads me to believe Phoenix are the play, it looks like the books are begging for clipper money, knowing they are a public fave. BOL tonight, I am not playing the game so I'll be rooting for your bet. On Hornets +6 and Miami -6

Also liking a way better Clippers team in my mind to beat up on the Suns. Specially after last night. They are sending a message and I have them as the unlikely winners of the West. Yup. You heard it here first.

Any team coached by Vinny Del Negro is unlikely to win a playoff series, much less a conference. I don't see it, but good luck.

I haven't really given it much thought. I'm not a big futures player, but I will make a futures play if I think it's +ev because of down-the-line hedge possibilities. Once my locals release those odds, then I will start thinking about it more. GL

Just wondering....what is "form" in the East?

The Bulls are limping into the playoffs without their best player healthy, Howard is out for the season, Heat are also more banged up than a lot of teams.........and they have struggled mightitly the last couple of weeks, The 76ers have fell off the map, the Pacers dont worry too many people (me atleast) Atlanta is gonna be Atlanta giving a tough series but end up doing nothing......to be honest the 2 teams I would not want to face in a 7 game series right now are surprisingly the Knicks, and the Celtics.

If "form" is right.....another HEALTHY celtics team, if they are healthy, is bound for another run..........

I love Celtics + 10, even with out Rajon and Ray Ray. Avery Bradley has done fantastic this season when called upon. I feel confident that between him, Pierce and KG, the Cs can get the job done. May even put a bit on the ML.

LTA feelings on the cavs? Irving back on the line up should make them competitive again. Knicks have nothing to play for specially on the road. Stoudemire is likely to be back also, which might turn out really bad for their offense and even their defense.

I find it very interesting on how the Knicks struggle integrating their stars back into the lineup. When Linsanity was taking over and the Knicks got hot, Anthony came back and they struggled. Lin and Stoudemire got hurt and Woodson got creative putting Anthony at the 4 and they have gone on a run again. I'm curious to see how Stoudemire coming back affects their play.

I still had confidence in our bench to keep it close throughout the whole game, so still fired away with C's +10, but maybe not as much as I would have if I hadn't know about KG and Pierce being out.

I do mostly tennis. And I think whoever took this "under", knew by HALF time it was a loser. LOL. After the game?? Only needed to see the 1st quarter to know that play was finished.

My opinion is that this time of yr nba is EXTREMELY tough to cap.. teams are resting players, other teams are battling for playoffs spots, other teams have already given up... it is just really tough to know what to expect every night..

My opinion is that this time of yr nba is EXTREMELY tough to cap.. teams are resting players, other teams are battling for playoffs spots, other teams have already given up... it is just really tough to know what to expect every night..

Dude, ive never lost money in any of my threads and i've never been in the negative this entire nba season. My record will be updated when I am done capping the mlb card, but you can see what it was as of yesterday if you go back a couple pages. Since ive started posting on sbr last april, I am up over +110x in all sports which is well over $30,000 that I have made for my family. Its all documented in my threads. Just ignore the trolls. They are just lonely, bitter and negative people that are nothing but mental midgets trolling a gambling board. They are not worth my time nor yours so dont even respond. They live very sad and pathetic lives and their only enjoyment is getting into online arguments so dont give them the chance. Good luck dude.
