All that said, this game does scream trap game to me, and you're right, it could be one of those Kobe nights, but he's been playing with such an edge lately. Ever since he's been wearing the mask, he's been a man on a mission, like he's got something to prove all of a sudden. Maybe it's been the way that everyone in the media has been talking about Wade/Lebron, Westbrook/Durant, CHI-town, and LinSanity, maybe Kobe's had enough and is making a statement that "hey, i'm still the top dog around here".

The Pace of the game is fine. Both teams are shooting it well. That wont last. The only worrying thing is we have already had 18 Personal Fouls and were only 3mins into the 2nd Qtr. Thats extremely high and with both teams into penalty already there could be a lot of free points for both teams.

Yikes cut to 90secs later and the count goes from 18PF to 27 Personal Fouls. Thats nearly an entire NBA game right there. If they keep blowing their whistles for tickey tacs they wont have anyone left on the court to finish this game.

The tickey tacs is why I can't stand watching basketball. These are men. Act like men. I'm not saying that they should go at it like boxers or hockey players, but c'mon. I hate baseketball fouls. They really kill the entire game for me.

Guys - please stop posting your "its over" messages. It doesn't look good. I admit. But I've seen overs that are "in the bag" like this not hit.

Take it easy. If it doesn't hit, move on, but don't go jumping off a building.

Even the announcers are giving out now! Did you hear them with the Come on let em play. There has yet to be more than 90secs of action without a whistle. What a horrendous game to watch from a purist point of view. You come to watch hoops not a freaking free throw contest.

the thing is, these guys are only hitting 65% of their FT's, this one could be MUCH higher if they were making their FT's....

the big question is do they both keep up the 55% shooting from the field?

I agree with LTA that when there are unexpected first halfs pace slows a ton in the 2nd half. The problem is they put up 112 points in the first half. Its just going to be too many points to overcome

Ouch...even I have to admit this one is not looking too good

Oh well, tough to predict that two top 10 defenses would decide to take the night off and that Atlanta shot the ball so well taking low percentage shots with zero inside game. Can't win em all...wish I would have played my Heat lean instead.

Hopefully NY/Dallas can play a nice low-scoring game. Time for dinner and to spend sometime with the fam. Good luck tonight

You guys should start your own thread to post all the whining and bellyaching about how games are over in the 1st half and even the 1st quarter sometimes. Really those post are soooooo out of place for this thread. No one wants to read negative post on a thread thats helping us make good/informed decisions on which way side going play. Just been on here for about a month but it's the classiest, most informative one I've seen for a long while. Enjoy the Action!!!!

I had a thought for the Over there and, as I previously stated here, Detroit. Can't say I'm happy after laying off the Pistons. Still thinking about going with the Mavs in-game if I get a good line.
