That's pretty much it, kind of contrarian/conspiracy point of view. I have been betting on sports for 9 years and that's the method that has worked best for me considering I like action but don't have the time to spend on alot of analysis. I don't really like either game a lot, but when the books are encouraging people to take a square I lean the other way, trusting that their analysis is better than mine could ever be. I have seen that these fades tend to work best when the games are big, nationally televised games as well. My way of thinking about it is there is a 60+ percent chance that one of these dogs covers tonight, and hopefully both.

Of course, I laid off the Bulls game last night because the public was backing them and missed out on what turned out to be a game that went exactly as LTA and some other smart cappers thought it would. And we all know how the 76ers game went, which was one of my big plays last night(bigger after I saw LTA picked them also, hehe). Thankfully Colorado St. evened it out.

Don't mean to speak against a men that has been betting for 8 years longer than me... but you do realize the Heat only have two losses on national televised games, who actually happened on consecutive nights when they lost 3 in a row and 2 in a row @ the Clippers and the Nuggets?

I don't know about ATS record, but im sure it should be positive as well, and this are only 4 points... if it wasn't for Chris Bosh's absence I would be all over the Heat.

haven't heard anything about love. I was able to get PHX at -3.5 earlier today, it is at -5 at most places. PHX has been pretty bad all year as favorites, but I think they cover here.

Nah, I hear ya. I shouldn't have put so much stock into the "Nationally televised" thing as that really doesn't play much into my decision making. But the only time I'll put money on the Heat, Thunder, Lakers, etc. is when the public money is at least a bit muddled. I think Chaz said it best:

I might buy out if Love sits, so stay tuned. This is a pure value play as there is no way this year's minny team should be getting 5 from this year's suns team. Minny has too much depth even without barea and they are defensively dominate over phoenix. I don't see fatigue being an issue because of the blowout last night and regardless the league trend has been to win the third game of b2b2b this year. I like the rubio/nash matchup as I think ricky will be pumped to have a good game. This is great value if love plays as I have Minny at +1.5 with love healthy and no fatigue issues. Because I think love plays and the fatigue is negligible, the value is clearly on the timberwolves tonight. Based on the foregoing, I am rolling with the timberwolves for 1x with a chance for a hedge if love sits. Good luck.
