I love the way the Heat finished up the first half....with defensive intensity sparking the offense. I think it bodes well for the second half and the cover.

I'm curious about what your model set this at (if you don't care to say), and what situationally you would have expected. Maybe more like Utah -2 would have been a number you would have taken?

Mark Jackson doesn't preach quick shots or a fast pace though. He preaches milking the shot clock to under 10 seconds before the team should attempt a shot for the Warriors.

Whatever type of shots they take or how quickly, they are 4th in the NBA in scoring. More importantly, they are 29th in points allowed.

Edit: Also, they aren't exactly taking it slow, as they are 8th in PACE in a virtual tie with Miami.

What an incredible pace in Golden State early on. Both teams up n downing it.... 20 shot attempts and were not even thru 5mins. Lets hope they can keep this pace up but I doubt it.

Every game tonight has had a minimum of 46free throws...We come to the last game with teams with two of the highest Free throw stats in the lge and they get 9 combined in the 1h. As you do....

Yea, we need a big third quarter to be in position to win or get OT.

But, you gotta admit that rooting for GS to score points over the last two games has been brutal. If Ellis and Curry could ever get their act together at the same time...they could be dangerous.

We need this 3rd quarter to be big!

Frantic pace as both teams combined for 19 points in the last three minutes. Thinking Golden State isn't as crappy shooting in the second half and we could see a high second half total?

Golden state is already heating up from a shooting percentage standpoint, I'm on second half over 101. It will give us a landmark on the way to over 203...

The lack of whistles in this game is a HUGE factor. Even the commentator on the Phx radio said "They are letting them play really hard". Some hits going in apparently that are just getting over looked. Then you flick it over to another game and you get a ticky tack reachin foul. NBA has no consistency with their zebras.
