He is going to be waived by the Suns.

The Bulls need a SG, and they need another scorer to compliment Rose. He is 34 years old, and he set career lows in PPG (14), Assists per game (2), and Minutes per game (28), in last year's season.

I think he is too old, not worth the money. Maybe if we can get him real cheap, then it is worth a shot.

Why would the Bulls take someone that both Orlando and Phoenix don't want? He's way too old to be the Bulls starting SG and is too inconsistent.

In his prime, Vince Carter was not a valuable asset to a team. He was never any good. He was merely a product of the hype that goes along with a UNC first round draft pick who can jump through the roof.

Whatever franchise gives this man a contract, label that franchise as the dumbest in the league.

Now that's a step too far... Vince is more valuable than a significant portion of the league...

First of all Vince Carter will not get more than a 2 year $6 million deal from any team in the league. That isn't too bad of a deal if he can give you 12-14 PPG and a three pionter and a couple of assists a night. I think a team like Chicago or New York would benefit from getting Vince Carter on the cheap.

There thing is, there really aren't that many good SGs in the NBA that the Bulls can sign or trade for. A player like Keith Bogans is decent off the bench, but he definitely shouldn't be a starter. Bogans is basically a clone of Bruce Bowen, plays very good defense, can drain the trey occasionally, but otherwise worthless offensively...

VC is on the downswing in his career. I'd rather take a shooter like JR Smith (people overstate how crazy he is, he's not as super thugged or nuts as people make him out to be) who does seem to get up for the big games. Obviously Dwight Howard would be the biggest piece the Bulls could get, but this is a long shot and it depends on Howard's desires, and what kinds of pieces we could package & ship to Orlando in exchange for him. Howard probably has like 3x the impact on a franchise that the overpaid Boozer does lol.

this isnt ai we're talking about. i happen to be of the opinon that for 30-35 minutes per game, for a reasonable 2 year deal, Vince would fit in swimmingly in chicago. much better than orlando.

VC played his best ball alongside a good pg; jkidd in new jersey, he had most of his playoff success, though d-rose and kidd are cearly two different types of guards, its undeniable that like a prime j-kidd, d-rose causes defenses to constantly be aware, giving carter the sliver of space he needs to execute offensively, and the need for that gap will only widen with his age... how many teams currently have an elite pg with a gaping hole offensively at the 2, and are close to winning?
