Generally, Covers, Statfox, Oddsshark and Vegas Insider (among others) do a good job of providing the home plate assignments in the matchup section for each game (I generally use Covers).Originally posted by JR007
If it's a first game of a particular series (so usually on Monday/Tuesday or Thursday/Friday), you will ONLY be able to get them on MLB.com about 1hr - 1.5hr before game time. If this is the case, you will need to go to the scoreboard section of MLB.com, then in each game section it will say "Box" in the upper right-hand section if the lineup and umps have been released (again, usually about 1-1.5 hrs before game time). Click where it says "Box" and the boxscore will come up. From there, scroll to the very bottom and the umpire assignments will be released. Once you get the name, you can go back to Covers or Statfox for statistics on the umps with respect to strike percentage, over/under tendencies, results against particular teams, results against particular pitchers, etc.
You should be able to find them pretty easy if you use the above directions. If you have any trouble, just let me know. Good luck.Comment -
Our night is going to be made or broken by our late-night west-coast under plays. Despite the line movement in favor of the over in those games, I am pretty set on adding another unit to each. If these don't hit, it will definitely be time for another adjustment against the books. We did the same about three or four weeks ago and went on a big tear. Let's just hope it's not necessary though. The Philly under is already cooked. Let's get the Pirates and Devil Rays unders and we'll be in good shape going into the late games.Comment -

I cannot believe the over did not cash in the Seattle game. We had 139 point with 1:25 remaining. HOW DO YOU NOT SCORE 5 POINTS WITH THAT MUCH TIME LEFT AND THE FAMOUS WNBA FOULING LATE IN GAMES? Whatever, I am done bitching about the WNBA...these girls are crazy but hopefully they end up making us some money tonight. Good luck!Comment -

Well we could have had a nice day, but the seattle/oakland under pushed out of nowhere in the bottom of the ninth when oaklad tied it at 2-2 and seattle scored two in the tenth for a push at 4-2. Just our luck lately, but we are due for a big day today after treading water for a week now. It's times like this that you prove yourself as a capper because we have to have the discipline not to get frustrated and go all in on some stupid play. Thankfully, I'm not your average capper and have too much intelligence and discipline to make mistakes like that. We just go back to the grind...there's nothing I like for a huge play today. We might have a 4x play though and plenty of action. Gotta get to work and will post three early plays. Good luck today!Comment -

Norris dominated the bucs earlier in the year in a tough luck loss 1-0. Morton should limit the astros to hold the under, but not enough to win. The indians play is a fade of Hughes in his return. We will have more plays later and we will be going back to some of our line movement/pubic fade plays now that inter league play is over. Good luck!Comment -

This is my highest rated play today. I would make it larger, but the ump welke is a big over ump. However, he has a decent strike percentage so we'll go with 4x for two pitchers that have been on fire and teams that struggle offensively while trending under. Good luck!Comment -
