MLB 6/2/11 Pirates/Mets under (7.5) (-115) 1x (Locked) I may add a unit or two later, but I wanted to get this in now in case we see a drop down to 7. The public is pounding the over, but I think we see this line stay constant at 7.5 or lower. Maholm is one of the best under bets going right now as the Pirates are 9 - 1 in favor of the under when he starts. On the other side, the Mets are 5-4 in favor of the over when Pelfrey starts. That actually supports the under when you factor in that the Mets are 33 - 19 in favor the over on the year as a whole and are really one of the best over bets. Pelfrey gives us pretty good shot at the under here as he has a respectable ERA of 3.48 and WHIP of 1.16 in his last 3 starts. I think we see Pelfrey pitch well today gainst an offensively challenged Pirates lineup. I expect a 3-2 or 4-2 type of game with both Maholm and Pelfrey pitching well. Their numbers are staggering - Shields has an ERA 2.15 and WHIP of 0.97 this year to Hernandez's 3.18 and 1.13. However, in their last 3 games, both pitchers have ERA's in the low 2's and WHIPS of 1. Both offenses are improving, but, based on the pitching matchup, I think we see a 2-1 or 3-2 type of game. Possible addition of units on both plays and more picks to come. Good luck!

Sorry guys...bad call on the pirates under. However, as I mentioned earlier, my insurance for the pirates under is the under in seattle/tb. I just added 3x to that one so hopefully we can recover our loss. I will update that play in my next post. I will probably have a few more smaller mlb plays as well so we have plenty of opportunities to recover for a great day.

Lets put this one behind us. I will have three big plays today between the pirates under, mariners under and nba over. If we can hit the final two, we will be in great shape on the day.

JR - look for Bob McCune and "Insights into Sports Betting", "Revelations in Sports Betting" & "Education of a Sports Bettor."

As an fyi, the "revelations" edition contains a chapter on nba totals deviation which has helped me make a ton of profit and I would definitely recommend that particular book more than the others. Good luck!

This one is more of a public play than I would like, but with Shields and King Felix on the mound, plus these two teams improving but still rather weak offenses, we should be ok. I'm rolling with the under here for 5x and may add another unit or two depending on the line movement. I am stepping out today and riding our recent hot streak to the bank. We will have a few more plays and fully expect to recover for another profitable day after the pirates under debacle. Good luck.

I will be playing the under in Astros/Padres tonight. I hope the bullpen doesn't blow it, but I do like the starting pitchers. I really like this play and expect that it will be multiple units as well. I am playing aggressively tonight, but waiting to see if we can get a better price. Still may add a unit or two to the basketball game. Contemplating adding at an alternate line of over (192) (+180). I also like the Dallas ML over parlay. Pays pretty good... Good luck.

The line hasn't moved, because there seems to be stability between the "let's play the bounce back" bettors and the "Miami is obviously the better team" money. If these teams were seen as closer to even in the key stat areas, this line would have dropped to +3 or +3.5 Miami's bonafides were so clear that any sort of decrease would have overloaded sportsbook exposure.
The total has come down two points after the defensive struggle. On the one hand, it looks like 188 was way too high for this series. It took a late flurry of scoring to reach 176! And, games tend to get lower scoring as a series goes deeper. But, on the other hand, both teams missed a lot of open or close-in looks that they probably won't miss to that degree from this point forward. Oddsmakers decided a two-point drop was the best way to account for the possibilities.

I think the bookies sucked a lot of the public into thinking this one was going under by keeping that line around 186.....Wasn't last game 187? Duped em' into thinking it would be low again....I got a good feeling this over cashes boys !

If they improve, I hope also Heat team improves their shots as well.

I'm on the over and looks like the lines are rising like game 1. AT least we got value when we bought it in the 186ish.... same thing in game 1 with value but we still lost.

I'll take a shot here for a small wager with big reward. Haven't been very lucky with these as I played one or two during the Bulls series and missed both. Hopefully, third time's the charm. I wanted to the alternate line of over 192.5 (180), but as a good sign, the odds dropped down to +170. I really think the Books are getting killed with over money right now. This is not $10 public bets, but limit bets everywhere. Gotta be a good sign. I would make this a 13x play if I could still get it 186.

Still looking at Hou/SD under and will put in a play in the next half hour. I may also add to the Sea/TB under, despite the fact that the public is all over it. I just can't get off this pitching matchup as I really like Shields, and to lesser extent King Felix.

We can continue our aggressive play today. I like this matchup of two young guys in Stauffer and Norris. The Padres have been under machines for me lately so let's keep it going. The books opened this low for a reason. Plus, there was RLM as the line went from 6.5 to 6 despite all the bets on the over. Good luck!
