The Mavs are veteran laden team that know what it takes to win on the road, while the Bulls make the needed adjustments to avoid back to back losses.

When you take those factors, apply a little zig-zag and add in the intangibles of both of these teams needing to respond to a home loss, I think that gives me enough to roll with the road dogs here.

Good luck...can't wait for these games! Nice call on the Boston/Cubs game too...

They are physical and deep enough interior to hold out the mavs at home in game 3.

Kd will step up and maintain the lead in scoring department, he had shown he can deliver a knock out in critical moment despite difficult look at the basket from outside or high screen. Harden is questionable with head injuries, but they will reach deep to another bench player to step up if needed.

take okc -1.5 at the half
      take okc -2.5
      total under 201.5

Ref's profile is a slight lean toward over, but average total range ~197<200.5. So this could be in for another one of them sharp line right here.

verdict: under 200.5 is still good. Thunderbird are go.

No love for Brett Myers today, huh? He pitched really well last time out and it's tough to take Morrow with all that juice...

Good luck on all of your plays...let's get this Dal/OKC under!!!

Good call on Toronto. Brett Myers did his job. Houston just showed why they suck giving up over 6 runs in the final three innings. Houston was leading 4-0 and Myers was rolling...put in the Stros bullpen and it all falls apart. Good call

The sun will always shine on TV, we'll see red everywhere here in AmericanAirlines Arena, included artificial blood. Fidel Castro is back, and he is picking the underdog heats at home to hold out pervert communists and Chicago Bulls from invading south beach. Bron is up to the task just as the way he had handed Boston their earlier season exit.

Bulls are contended the fact that they had never loss 2 in a row, but this is playoff basketball. Anything can happen, but the team with most talents will usually win. As for this game, the result will speak for itself.

The Over is 5-0 in Miami’s last five games as a favorite.

Great day yesterday Kob! Keep it up...

                          I'm rolling with the Bulls (+5) 6.5x, Bulls ML (+180) 1.5x and the over (179) for 2.5x.

I will have my writeup on this game later this morning, but I wanted to hear your take. I'm rolling with the Bulls because I don't see the Bulls losing two in a row here and I think the large spread provides some good value. The Bulls typically make the adjustments necessary to avoid two straight losses. Plus, Rose typically does not have bad games b2b. I think Thibs impresses upon the Bulls the importance of this game and they will play with the sense of urgency necessary to prevail. You mention talent, but the Bulls have the talent up front to win the rebounding battle, get the second chance points necessary to win and generally just dominate the paint. It's all up to the Bulls outside of Rose. If Deng, Boozer, Noah, Korver, Brewer/Bogans can have a decent game, the Bulls should win. I expect that to happen because they played so poorly in game 2. As you say, this is the playoffs, and so far in these playoffs, home court advantage has proven to be fickle. Just look at Dallas yesterday.

Thanks for your thoughts above...can you expand a little on why you like Miami with such a big number? Good luck on all of your plays today! Let's cash this over!

Let's cash this over!
right from the word go, I felt the Heats is a better team (I had my take & seen similarity of this team & 1990's Bulls had proven two key players & a busted up roster can go a long way) simply on talent and had won a sound series against Philly & Boston, & I don't even like them heats.

& just think for a minute where in the east this year of what happen ? if Bulls face Boston instead, can Bulls past Boston ? can you seriously think Boston would lose in 5, or 6 or even 7 in this case.

you can't compare home court scenario between east & west series, they are two different, east play more defensive oriented, with few exception: Lakers.

what happen in game 2 & 3 in the west was a joke, Dallas needed a collapse game 2 in order to played better defense in game 3 ?, why can't they do that in game 2 ? unless they must spent the entire time watch the tape for Marion to finally know how to read OKC's passing lane. The Mavs' coach had knew full well that they had played terrible D & yet nothing was improved in game 2 & sure enough they had loss.
Game 3, I conceded, not a million year I expected OKC to play like that at home, defensive we know it will toughness & lower scoring, but while they knew full well Dal will come back strong to reclaim their loss home court, it doesn't make sense but there it was.

back with the Bulls-Heats, I think the heats is a better team, I can't see them like OKC in the west, I can't see Bulls will do what the Mavs did. But we'll know it today,

at least we can agree it's an over total, let's go with that
good luck with the rest of your plays

                                        Dallas at OKC
Finally The Mavs hit the switch & shut OKC blank, took a 2-1 lead in the series, and in the process they had won that psychological cornerstone. Once again if they can hold OKC below 100 points they chance of winning is significant better in game 4 than game 3 as clock runs down OKC will pressure themselves to be overly aggressive, force unnecessary actions and commit turn overs.

Now that each team had won on the road, the blood is in the water & it's on. Physical defense will play a big part from this point on of the series until Dallas return home for one last final game. We therefore with a very high probability to see another consecutive low scoring game.

                                        defensive assignment match up:
                                        Marion on KD's
                                        Collison on Dirk

Underdog is 11-4-1 ATS in the last 16 meetings.
Road team is 19-7-2 ATS in the last 28 meetings.
Under is 4-0 in Thunder last 4 games as a home favorite of 0.5-4.5.

The ref is a marginal lean toward over, but Avg. Total Score 194- 197. I still expect the result to go under, Tony Brothers & Ken Mauer have excellent game ATS covers with Dallas. If Mark Cuban behaves himself, we'll be ok. Thinking about how the Lakers was sweep 4 zip & seen how far the Mavs had come, we can expect them to close it out and return home to seal the deal.

Predicting W/L of NHL at this point is a 50/50 at best, as there's no clear home court or rather road advantage in most cases.

But profit still can be made in another way, pick over/under scoring.
If the trend below tell us anything but over total. Tampa had demonstrated that they can really score against
a highly defensive team in previous series - The Capital.

Over is 4-0 in Lightning last 4 games following a win.

I'm leaning the over with a total of 198-201, however another poor shooting display from Durant & co could sink it. I agree with you about it being a physical, defensive type game, would add that possibly Chandler/Perkins get ejected. But this would mean fouls & that might get both teams over 100. Game 4 is a crazy one to predict, we'll either see 2-2 or 3-1 at the end, so anything could happen. Good luck with your picks & congrats on hitting Heat & over today, great work!

                                              Red Sox at Cleveland Indians

                                              Starting Pitchers
                                              Boston: Buchholz (4-3, 3.42 ERA)
                                              Cleveland: Masterson (5-2, 2.52 ERA)

Cle is 18-4 at home while Boston is 8-2 in last 10.
This could be a pitch dueling game between Buchholz & Masterson, as both came off strong performances in their last game. However at home, Indians is strong at bat against right hand pitch despite miss some key players, so look out.

                                              Take Cleveland (J Masterson)
