Kobe Bryant missed shoot around and is a game time decision. Sounds like he has flu symptons. Trust me if you are backing the Bobcats this is not a blessing. The Lakers looked awesome without Kobe last year and they will get up to win this game to prove a point that they can win without him again. So much focus is on Kobe offensively because he does most of the ball handling and shooting and the ball just sticks to him when he is on the court. The Lakers looked so good last year when they were moving the ball and playing freely without him.

Lakers dont need Kobe in the regular season. Kobe is better in the playoffs, b/c he is clutch when it matters.

Regular season is for the most part irrelevant.

not sure about lakers without kobe this year...fish is not sharp and that's being kind...artest is hit and miss at best...i guess if they don't turn it over a ton and get it to gasol and bynum they might make it a game?

I hope everybody well whatever they decide to play. At the moment I have no play on this game. Sure on the surface it looks bad if Kobe is not able to play, but guys like Shannon Brown and maybe even Steve Blake play huge. I would also expect a huge game from Gasol,Odom, and Bynum... Just who on the Bobcats can guard and rebound with them on the court. Big men is not a strong suit of the Bobcats and if the Lakers utilize there big man effectively it can be a comfortable win.. I actually agreed with the pick more if Bryant was playing believe it or not. If Kobe is announced out before the game I will take Lakers.If not I will just pass anyhow. GL to all.

Looks like Lakers are shutting it down for the road trip.

They know they wont catch the Spurs or Celtics, but having home court in the first two rounds is enough.
