Disclaimer: This is just a journal that I am starting and keeping for myself with what I am going to bet and how I am going to bet it. I'm doing this and sharing it with my family members on facebook so they can read it and can figure out what kind of a nut case I am.
My system in a nut shell goes like this.
I think it is better to cherry pick our picks. It is ok if we don't bet if nothing is appealing. We don't have to buy anything and just cherry pick an easy picking game with your own system. Mine is like the SA and Wizard game. I like to bet on top winning teams against the bottom of the crop teams. This will give you a higher chance of not having an upset game plus if the spread is like that of the spur and wizard game of 7 or less, I'm taking the fav. I think such game is a better value for the money. All of these upsets games that we have seen, the reason why it is an upset is because the teams that usually upset is able to upset. They are usually a .500 or better team. I'm learning my lesson and staying away from these bets in the future. Top teams matching up with wizard or cavs and spread is under 7, I'm on it like fly on chit and that's my word. It is like playing a survivor game. This helps to eliminate some upsets and all I'm dodging now is the spread. ML winning is a no brainer but ML on fav carry less payout so I'm not going to go there with bet big bank to win tiny bank. Too much of a risk for me.
Any teams that are not an elite team and giving kings near double digits and I'm taking the kings to cover. Just this past monday, dallas is a team that kept on winning but usually does not cover if the spread is big. I remembered them giving something like -14 and did not cover. To give that big of a spread and to cover by that much, you have to be an exceptional team. Phoenix tonight is not an exceptional team. They are mediocre at most and they are a team that can upset if they are the dogs. Unless your name is elite and playing against a losing record team, I don't think you should even give out them double digits spread like that. Think what happened to Orlando with their -9 this past week. When vegas line is giving us the edge, we should take it.
Oh and I'm not going to record my winnings and losing because that takes up too much work. I'm a recreational betters and I don't want to see this as work.
Ok here goes.
