    This how the NBA works?
So the favorites just always cover right? They just cover the spread no matter what. If they're 6 point favorites the either smash their opponent by 20 or are losing with 4 minutes left but still totally cover. Is that how you win? Just bet the favorites every time? Because the underdogs sure as hell don't win ever. I'm pretty sure any underdog on the spread is supposed to be +400 but for whatever reason my sportsbook just does -110. I think I'd still bet the faves every time even at -400 ats.

I haven't won in the NBA for like 10 days in a row. I'm about 30% over the last 2 weeks picking 90% underdogs.

        The NBA is awesome!

Anyone wanna pull up the stats for this season on how often the favorites have covered the spread? I'll give points. I'm pretty sure the strategy for betting the NBA is as follows:
        1.) Log in to sportsbook.
        2.) Find NBA betting lines.
3.) Identify which teams are the favorites.
4.) Lay anything up to -450 on the spread on said favorites.
        5.) Exit sportsbook.
        6.) Win every game.

would much rather bet every dog on the ML night in and night out than the favorite....winning percentage won't be the greatest but if you can hit around 40 percent you'll make a profit as opposed to having to hit over 80% on ML favs.

There was a rule in our contest. You weren't allowed to tilt bet 40 games the day before the contest ends and make 70 units just to luckbox a small victory. I smashed you and neither one of us will ever for a second believe that you won that contest.

LLXC- VI's numbers seem more accurate so no points for you.
VegasInsider- I'll give you a point if you challenge me to a real money competition.

lol after watching the cleveland cavaliers beat the LA lakers last week, it should be the be-all, end-all prime example of the idea that there is NEVER a such thing as a lock

Agreed if betting favorites all the time was that easy, then everyone would be rich.

unofficially of course.. betting the chalk on the NHL totals you would be around 55% and minus the juice you be breaking even. Why bother.

Betting on large favourites, laying chalk is the quickway to poorhouse.
