BOL to you. I just don't see the Lakers as a team I would throw the Big Bet down on. They lost by 1 the other night b/c they got outhustled to every loose ball by the spurs. SA didn't even play well, they just wanted it more.

I put a five grand bet on the Lakers because I had been winning over the last few months,

it must be 10$ punters who just rage with jealousy.

whenever anyone puts up a big bet on this forum they are shot down in flames.

I personally want everyone to win! if its a $1 or $100,000 wager it doesnt matter to me. I want us all to beat the bookie.

I had the Lakers ML pegged as the best play in the NBA tonight before I saw this thread or the accuscore predictions.

If you look at the accuscore predictions for all the games tonight you get the following:

Hawks win 98.6 to 94.4
Mavs win 93.6 to 87.9
Blazers win 96.5 to 93.5
Lakers win 96.6 to 89.4
Rockets win 106.7 to 100.4
Bucks win 93.5 to 90.1
Thunder win 103.0 to 102.2
Nuggests win 114.7 to 112.0
Bulls win 103.2 to 102.6

Believe it or not, accuscore has the Lakers as the biggest favorite of the night based on the projection of the final score! I had them as my top pick before I saw that or this thread, btw.

If it doesn't make sense to you just imagine the Lakers front line dominating the game with Okafor and Ariza out. If the Lakers use any kind of disciplined strategy in terms of pounding the ball down low they should dominate and thus the accuscore prediction makes perfect sense, imho.

Gasol and Bynum were 18-25 from the field with 46 points, that's exactly how I saw the game going. BUT why did I say "If the Lakers use any kind of disciplined strategy in terms of pounding the ball down low"...

Because very few NBA teams can stay disciplined, when they fed Bynum and Gasol in the post they scored with ease and there they were in the fourth quarter with Bynum in the post and they were missing jump shots. All they had to do was throw it down to Bynum and Gasol and let them dominate but it's too much to ask for NBA teams to stay disciplined....

Is it ego? It's like it's written into the player's contracts that they have to get a certain number of shots every game? NBA players tend to act like getting their number of shots is more important than the team winning...
