Anyone here think having NBA on Christmas is horrible?
Lebron James made a comment about this as well and says players should get to enjoy Christmas and not have to play in these games and said Lakers play it every year for the last 12 years already. I don't know about you guys but why do they always schedule nba games on christmas day? Shouldn't it be a day to avoid the Television? I mean you always put the best matchup you can on television for the nba as with the heat/lakers but i really don't know why they do this. I mean why can't they do these matchups on NATIONAL TV when in november? I mean the sad thing is if you don't have cable, you pretty much cannot watch any nba games until the NBA finals.

I mean you have college football games on new years day and those bowls but that is how it always was. But with the NBA, what in the world is the point of having these matchups on Christmas day? These games don't mean anything, it's really just another regular season game and there are already 82 games in a season for each team. Another thing i dislike is every Christmas they show the same teams over and over again. Last year it was Cavaliers versus the lakers but the game before that was Boston Celtics versus the Orlando Magic on ABC. Well what do i see is on tv the game before Heat/Lakers on tvguide.com.... WELL its Celtics vs Magic once again.

Aren't they going to show some other teams for once? I mean i think showing nba games on Christmas day is just horrible. I know they generate lot of money on these games as well as ticket sales because they are the highest for a regular season game but why are people even going to these games?? Stan Van Gundy said something like if you are watching NBA games on Christmas day... I would feel bad for the person. He got fined for that comment but don't you guys agree that statement is at least a bit true? Why of all days during the year, you schedule Heat versus Lakers on Christmas day? I mean, why don't ABC schedule Heat/Lakers on a Sunday night later in the season for it to MEAN something with atmosphere like TNT does. I mean to the people that don't have cable, you can't even watch the nba all star game. You just watch these 2 games on Christmas and i think from january till april, ABC has an nba game once a week on sundays during the afternoon and of course its the same teams you will see, boston, magic, lakers, heat and OF COURSE these games mean jack. You would be lucky to have them show a team like the spurs, mavericks, thunder, knicks, chicago on TV.

    Anyone else feel like this?
