Are Money Line Parlays the Safest thing in Basketball??
is it just me or are straight up upsets very rare in basketball????

how often do you really see a struggling road team go into a home team's arena and still win??

nowadays I parlay almost all of my spread picks with ML home picks of teams like Dallas and Utah cause they never seem to lose at home

I agree bbull117... However I lost two ML parlays last week when the Lakers went on their 4 game losing streak. Unless you have a b2b situation or injuires, it's usually a safe bet though

It's possible to benefit from it, I dabble in it, but doing this blindly will end up being detrimental to your success.

see I wouldn't have taken the lakers in either game. The first game was against the Pacers...same pacers who have been playing really well recently and even beat the Heat in Miami. The second game was against the Rockets right?? at that point the lakers were really struggling so no point in taking them

good ML parlays for example today would be Knicks (who are on an absolute tear at home against the worst road team in the league), Utah (one of the best teams in the league vs struggling grizzlies) and Orlando vs Atlant (no way in hell can Atlanta beat a great Orlando team without Joe Johnson)

agreed, I only take it in the following situations

1)a team that has been on fire recently against a team that has really been struggling
2)a great team against a bad team
3)a team that plays particularly great at home against a struggling road
          squad

also, any injury or back to back situations = no play for me

with all those things nonstanding, straight up upsets are VERY rare in basketball

Imo, i do believe that ML's in general are safer, however......that does not make them the most rewarding : /

That's the definition of a ML.

And that's why spreads are -110 and ML get a lot higher.

-200/-300 Moneyline favourites are great, if you like to burn your money quickly.

I prefer ML when underdog team is +1/+2/+3 but never pick a favourite on ML. Nothing but a waste of money. Lay the points or pick another game.

Upsets happen in NBA. This league is called "Where Amazing Happenz" for a reason..

look at the last 10 days of basketball, show me a legit big time upset where there was no injury or back to back situation

the reason I love MLs much more than spreads is cause the last few minutes of basketball games can easily destroy spread picks. It drives me fukking insane

it's happened a million times this year where an underdog gets down 10 points cause of the last minute free throw/missed shots/free throws scenarios where an underdog is trying to come back to the game (and you lose a spread pick despite the fact that it was a close game the entire way)
