Lives up there for along time. This a good collection of things to do, just not many jobs so I had to skip town and move to DC. Great town and area, except the weather blows about 6 months out of the year. Nice thread.

I've lived in Cleveland and in Miami and there is much more to do in Cleveland. The people are more down to earth, they're passionate about sports and aren't pretentious. Outside of South Beach, there's nothing to do there. I was bored out of my skull. The fans don't appreciate any of their teams from the Canes, phins, marlins nor Heat. When Mark Mcgwire was going for his HR record, I was able to walk up and get a ticket. Can you believe that shit???

The only negative to Cleveland is the snow. I hate snow but you have to deal with it if your in Cleveland, Buffalo, Detroit, Denver, Chicago, Minnesota, Indiana or Green Bay. Ask people from Miami to name 5 things to do and they can't. It's south beach or the Mall. That's it. Or a flight somewhere else. I use to spend more weekends in the Bahamas when I was there.

I am well aware of the lack of support of there sports in Miami. As I mentioned before I am a Braves fan and watch all the games and Florida home games are 8-10K most nites. Braves are not a ton better unless they play a big market team but usually 20-25K a nite but it looks much better.LOL!! I also noticed the Heat playoff games against Boston were not sold out... I was like WTF, who doesn't sell out playoff games??

                                                            Throwing in the towel
A fan threw a towel in the direction of LeBron James on Thursday night, but the towel, like most of the Cavaliers' shots, fell short. The fan was escorted out, but more important;y, writes ESPN's Michael Wallace, the Cavaliers should have thrown in the towel based on their performance.
But Wallace got a chance to watch how other events transpired.
To James' credit, he largely ignored the chaos that started when someone threw a battery from the stands that landed right in front of the Heat's bench. That drew a warning from the public address announcer.
As the Heat's lead grew, so did the craziness in the stands. One fan wearing a Heat jersey was showered with cups of beer in the upper deck. He didn't duck. Instead, he basked in the beer until he was escorted out.
Then came towel man. Maverick Carter, James' business manager, left his courtside seat moments later and had to be escorted through the crowd by three bodyguards. James, meanwhile, was oblivious to his surroundings. Or at least he did a remarkable acting job.

The two things that surprised me the most about Cleveland when I was there last fall were:

                                                                1. How clean the city is. Maybe I'm just used to Detroit, but the streets looked clean. Additionally, I never felt worried about walking down the wrong street at night, as I would in Detroit. Security was good too, as someone instantly ran out to ask what the hell I was doing sitting on a bench outside their office at 5am (don't ask).

                                                                2. How much the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame sucked. I've been to a lot of museums, and this was just a major disappointment. Six floors my ass, there's one good floor (the bottom one), and then the third floor is acceptable, but the rest is pretty much crap. The entire second floor is just a souvenir stand, while the 4th floor is a glorified theater. The most insulting though, were the 5th and 6th floors, which were entirely dedicated to the Rolling Stones. I can't remember, there may have been a premium just to see all of that too.

So, while seeing some legendary guitars and equipment (and I feel like there wasn't that much considering the size of the building) was cool, including that old Hendrix couch, I felt like it was a total scam, and it's certainly not something I'd want to go to again. The only thing that might be cool, would be if you happened to go when a band was playing, unfortunately there was not one that day.
