    Bet the Cavs before Celtics announce they are resting stars?

    Cavs are -3.5 right now at home vs Celtics later today...

    Celtics just played at home and lost a grueling 2 OT game by 2 missing a 3 at the end of 2OT vs the Knicks who just beat the Celtics a week ago or whatever...


    now on the road for 2nd of B2B vs the Cavs....

    THIS IS WHERE NBA TEAMS REST DUDES RIGHT??? All the major teams with stars end of playing a 2nd of B2B when they play in CLE and they rest starters.

    Cavs will be 8 point favorites when dudes are announced OUT

    i think the celtics are tired even if they don't rest stars. on the cavs. it is at -4.5 now.

    Good thread. I posted many times over the last couple years that capping NBA games comes down to capping whether or not players will play… Literally assigning a percentage chance.

    OP is on the right track.

    Duker is right too, so often anything can happen all you can hope for is a good value over time.

    as i said...this is a classic case on why you don't bet the nba regular season.

    you have no idea which bench player is going to play like his career is on the line, or which starter is going to play hard, unless you're an insider or the player

    but, carry on and bet anyways who am i to stop everyone

    No, this is a classic case of why you have to watch the market, bet at the right time, and get the right number.

    But yeah, the NBA is not "easy" and not for the faint of heart or dart throwers.

    and now. with the Celtics losing 3 games in a row where they had at least a 14 pt lead... losing b2b games in overtimes

    next game is at home vs the Blazers who have non-existent defense but finally won a couple games vs bad/average teams.

    seems like a auto spot to take the Celtics spread for 1x
