I don't make straight bets very often. I liked the Bulls last night and I like the Pacers in their home opener tonight. Miami is not a great road team.

I'm not crazy about those plays. Golden State and Phoenix scored 284 pts in a game last year - in regulation!

The Lakers hardly ever cover big spreads, so it's 50/50 in my opinion. But if you play them good luck, don't let me sway you from what you're comfortable with.

Just an FYI. My first experience with Bookmaker was excellent. Have a very nice account at another book but that 8 point 3 teamer tease looks very good. Especially after looking at today's lines. I'll watch and wonder for a few days and then jump in.

Now if I can just learn from you guys how to do this, it will be a great time.

4-3-0 on straight bets to date with 4 riding tonite so that's nothing special unless I can go 4 for 7 all year.

The only straight bet I like tonight is the Pacers, that's it. As I said, the lines are sharp, almost every game could go either way as far as the point spread.

Washington played hard and looked good in their season opener. I like Atlanta as a team but in my mind they dont play to blow people out. They keep games close and I think the books have this one pretty on the dot. I think the 8 points bought will keep me in a comfortable position.

This is a weird game though because I feel like the starting line ups have serious matchup issues on both side in multiple positions. Could be a nice over pick but I will probably stay away from that.

I actually hit an 8 team parlay last year. Picked every sweet 16 game correctly! For $10 paid me $550 I believe. I was ectastic! Sometimes its better to be lucky than good!

it looks like i might have to get on Bookmaker real soon. went to their site and really liked their lines. im on bodog right now and "moneylines are offered only when the spread is between 3 and 10. If the spread is exactly 3 or 10, moneylines are offered only when the line is standard (-110" so for a busy nba night like tonight only 5 of 13 moneylines are offered. and that sux cuz i cant make my 4 team ML parlay...only 1 team of my 4 team ml parlay is available!!!

bodog was recommended to me by a friend but i'm still learning this stuff. havent had any trouble on any other sport though.

milkshake, i like the bet cause its 1/50. you have solid picks in their with a couple that make it risky, but thats why its a 1/50! we got some guys in this room who know basketball and then some guys who know gambling. you put that together and we got a good thread here...
