I think the Pelicans -1 is the way to go.

My correspondent was at practice today and they said that a couple of the black guys were dunking the ball really hard and doing little dances like the Dougie and the Griddy and whatnot.

Also I wanted to pay tribute to SBR poster Drunk Horse Banger who embarrassed himself right into the Saloon. He would say up is down, and red is blue, and hot is cold and basically the man broke in front of our eyes.

I think he meant well, but his execution was the Hindenburg. Enjoy the poem and feel free to post thoughts.

    Drunk Horse Banger 2010-2024

Here lies Banger, gone and buried

To gross indecision they say he was married

Coming or going, he didn't know

Gripped with anxiety, from head to his toes

One minute he claimed this, the next it was that

Harder to grasp than a wet, cornered cat

Whatever he felt in the moment I guess

A walking contradiction, just like his dad in a dress

Finally he broke and could banter no more

So he name-called, cursed, stammered, and swore

We're gathered today to reminisce about

The dumbness that destroyed from the inside out

Banger's rep is too late to save

Here lies another in an SBR grave

NOP are a 'sexy' selection today.
I also like Sac Town, but I'm in the minority.

Sexy how? Lakers appear to be on most bettors' tickets.

And the other game is overwhelming tilted towards Golden State in terms of public opinion.

I give a small edge to the Pellies only because the previous game was their walk through while the Lakers came out guns ablaze, and I think this time the real Pelicans show up and show out.

If I had to bet the nightcap, I'd probably side with Sacramento as well but mostly as a contrarian play because on paper I don't see much of an edge. Warriors did send them home last year in a best of 7 so maybe the Kings have that as a revenge angle but motivation won't be lacking for either side.

GL EDDY I am also on NO. Not sure why posters pick a word fight with you. Most are no match for your verbiage. Another burial. LOL.

Well verbiage aside, he kept insisting I was wrong but couldn't point to anything in particular I was wrong about. I haven't even bet the Falcons and was open to discussion, other points of view welcome. His position was a hard pass, which is fine, but kept insisting I was wrong and a sucker and even a tout.

Not only that but he hit rock bottom when he pulled a 180 without even realizing it. He initially said it was a bad bet, but then said it had great value, was too good to be true, that the Falcons were the obvious front-runner, then reverted back to saying it was a dumbass bet... Whatever served his narrative in the moment.

            He broke. RIP

Odds makers like the Pelicans too. The line is almost pick em...

Little crazy after the Lakers just blew them out.

Throw logic out the window as I also wouldn't be surprised if the Pelicans won this game tonight and by a bunch of points..

Davis still not listed out yet from what I'm reading. His poor little back is hurting him.. Awwww..

AD has always been an injury waiting to happen. He'll probably try to play then pull himself out a few minutes in.

I guess Pellies backers should get their bets in sooner rather than later because if AD shocks everyone and has to sit, that line will get an erection.

That Alvarado pass to the corner that was picked off seemed like it was the killshot to the Pellies' chances. Alvarado could have rolled to the cup for a layup, but the turnover resulted in a transition bucket for the Lakers and resulted in 4 point swing in what was a tied game at the time. Tough break.

Wow another sports thread gets 86'd from Players Talk. Sure, why not. Mods have to put something on their clipboard to prove they didn't snooze through their shift.

Lakers should have intentionally lost that game yesterday. Meet the Denver Nuggets now. Good luck with that Lakers..
