Regardless of Howard missing the free throws and not fouling at the end of regulation. I cant believe Alston was benched, when he was contributing big time in the game. I have seen many bone head calls but to sit your point guard the 4th and ot to play some guy who is not even in game shape is beyond me. If Alston would have played magic win the game by 6-7 easily. Why alter team chemistry in the FINALS, .........

Im clueless just when I thought I had seen it all...............

Van Gundy is a horrible coach. He doesn't know what he's doing. The Magic cannot hold leads because when the other team starts making a run, he panics. I've come to the conclusion that the Magic play better when down because then all he needs to spew out a bunch of motivational crap to seem like he's coaching. If I were Alston, I'd be livid especially after his performance in Game 3. I really don't understand it either but I was happy because I had the Lakers ML for that game.

Its just like when a new coach takes over a team. They usually replace the last years players, with his guys. Like Rex Ryan getting some of his players from the Ravens to come to the Jets.

Nelson is Stan Van Gundy's guy. Alston is still the guy who come in late into the season. I'm not saying he's right, just thats protocol.

At this point, I think Van Gundy has to be called into question. Mistakes are starting to mount, his finals record is horrendous, and his PR and team promotion skills are laughable.

HELL YES BROTHER!! I said it after game ****ing one in my thread Van Gundy is a douche. One of my best friends played for him at a small college before going pro in Europe league. He said that he should be fired immediately. You beat the defending champions, besides a last minute shot by Lebrone would have swept Cavs (the team with the best record) and now lets play a guy 28 minutues after 4 months on the ****ing bench. And continue to throw hom in the game at crutial times, like fourth and OT!! I can't even tell you the stats the are ****ing sick. Is Jamire sucking Gundys dick? This series should be 3-1 Orlando right now instead of the other way. LA has not beat this team yet besides game one. PERIOD.

if nothing else the series should be even.

so i was laying on the couch watching the game, drinking beer, telling myself "wow, unbe****inglievable, van cunty's giving the game away because he's playing a guy at pg who doesn't know his dick from his forehead right now," when i noticed my eyes start to close in the fourth quarter. now normally i would stand up or move or something (i think we've all been there) but something told me, "just sleep. it will be better if you just take a little nap and wake up and check the score before you go to bed for real."

i had orlando moneyline. saw the score on the computer and said to myself, "i knew it" and went to bed. i heard about how the game ended today at work and i've never been so glad to sleep through any game i've had money on in my life.

unlike most bettors, i know when i got lucky in picking lakers for that game. magic got 4 points on OT, the coach didnt do anything from 4th quarter. what was he thinking. bad possession after another. it seems the guy that is open doesnt want to take the shot and hedo would like to force a pass on lewis who is covered everytime and he is 2 out of ten for the night.

                  that is another amazing moment

They deserve to lose with a bone head coach like that loser!

Sorry to hear, BMM and tex. I don't understand Van Gundy's thinking either. I always knew he was a stupid coach and people give him way too much credit for what he did this season. Now, he's being exposed for what he really is. He's a coach that panics and doesn't know how to handle pressure when it the going gets tough. I also think Orlando has a bunch of stupid players. It's a trickle down effect from the coach to the players. But it's really simple too. Why double team Kobe 75 feet away from the basket? Why not foul Fisher before he gets off the shot? Why is Nelson backpedaling towards his OWN basket when all the Lakers can do is shoot a 3 so they can tie? It's just mental errors mentioned above that did the Magic in. Well, they did miss FTs down the stretch and turned the ball over a lot but they could have easily won this game and tied it at 2-2.
