I've been a Kobe Bryant fan throughout his career. But, this season has been wayyyy over the top. I literally almost vomited in my mouth a few times. I don't recall Michael Jordan or Magic Johnson putting us thru this misery. Not sure this guy is even better than Tim Duncan, you don't see him making us suffer through a self congratulatory tour. So glad this is over.

Kobe is the ALL-TIME worst TEAMMATE.
other people do not exist at all.. they exist only to get rebounds and pass the ball back to him
sad to watch, and even worse all the idiots fans rewarding him for the very behavior that destroyed that once
great franchise.

and just sits there quietly game after game, helping his team win 65 games.. never throwing teammates under the bus..
calling FA's welcoming them to San Antonio... making it easier for them to sign there...
believe me, i have relatives in San Antonio.. and lived once in Los Angeles.. LA IS WAY MORE INTERESTING..
if you convince somebody to play in a dead town over a bustling metropolis like LA... you are a much cooler person

Duncan is the bigger star.. but Kobe is the larger WHINER.. that is why Duncan quietly has 2 MVP's and 3 Finals MVP's

Are we just going to ignore the fact that he's 38 years old, that's he's got more basketball mileage than just about anyone ever, that he's undergone multiple major surgeries to varying parts of his body, that this wasn't just a random fifty shot outburst but it was the final game of his storybook career, that he managed to do it on the one night people wanted to see him do exactly this? We're just looking past all that and going straight to the stats?
Thanks for the box score analysis, robot. Tell any of the fans who "overpaid" in hopes that they'd see even thirty points one last time from their basketball hero that it wasn't a great performance and that it makes trobin sick because Kobe wasn't especially efficient. Let us know how many you manage to convince.Comment -

if duncan tried to shoot 50 fga today. 1) he won't even get off half of that. SHots would get blocked. Guy can't take his man 1 on 1 anymore. He is the real definition of a shell. What does he average liek 9 fukking points a game?? lmao. You think a legend like bryant would ever sit his ass on the bench vs the warriors and play 8 minutes and average 9 points in a season?
that's the difference between bryant and duncan. summed up easily. duncan is reduced to a mere role player. a legend will never.....NEVER....be a role player.Cause Sleep is the Cousin of DeathComment -

#15So you're saying this wasn't a great performance? Because he took fifty shots and only made twenty two of them?

I wonder if D. Russell or J. Clarkson or J. Randle could have single handily brought the Lakers from 15 behind in the 4th & won them the game?? I wonder if they would have nailed the multiple clutch shots Kobe did that ultimately won them the game?? My guess is NO!! It's convenient that u leave out the single most important reason that did make this a great
People use soooooo much energy being jealous of Kobe & his success it's comical.
you lose all credibility. Even spurs entire organization said "kobe is our jordan..." that means it's an admission of bryant being the greatest player of this generation.... to compare duncan's skill set to bryant's is fukkin laughable. bryant was better on both ends of the court than duncan and did more with less and dominated in every aspect of basketball.

#16I still look at Kobe as what he could have been, he could have made his teams so much better had he not been as selfish. People must forget about all those games being down double digits he'd basically quit, his version of quitting would be passing the ball all the time when he got it. That happened in the playoffs a number of times, when he'd ball hog theyed lose badly sometimes and there would be noise about it, the very next game Kobe would come out just the opposite trying to make a point in his sick way by never shooting and only passing the ball. IMO he would have been a much better player if he simply played the right way, that means finding the open guy, passing when doubled, but he was too over consumed by wanting to be that guy, a Jordan replica, but Ive viewed him on Jordan's level, not athletically and ability wise.Comment -

#17@ the comments from 1st quarter when he made 1 shot under 50%
he only scored... 60
44% on 50 shots... basically 38 years old... long 2 pointers, 42% of shots were from distance... step-back 3's, pull up 3's from distance only Curry loves to shoot, fade away jays
44% is good for most guards who are 25 years old and all-stars or good players in the NBA
if you shoot 50% FG for an entire season as a guard who shoots a lot and shoots from distance then you just had an amazing season
LIKE the season Curry just finished at 50.4% and 45.4% from distance... he didn't even shoot 50% for the year the last 2 years even with 42.4 and 44.3 % from distance... it takes him hitting 45% from distance to shoot 50% for the year as a volume shooting guard

if he were just comfortable being no.2 for another year, before taking it over. from Shaq.
Shaq won the Finals MVP for ALL three of the first three Championship runs..
and that made Kobe INSANE<,
he chased away a League and Finals MVP just because of that..
so Shap goes toMiami and wins another Ring.
Lakers basically lost 4 years because of that.. instead of thinking..
"WOW.. Shaq is an MVP and i will be later on... this is a really special opportunity"
he gave Laker brass an ultimatum, because he MUST be the ONLY SUPERSTAR on a team..
total control o the floor
