    Dallas/GS Friday night
I was thinking about taking Dallas earlier in the day but the line moved from 14 to 17 and is now at 16 1/2. We had something similar happen with Brooklyn/Cleveland yesterday. I haven't heard any news. I may make a pick (Dallas) later.

    Anyone have anything to add?

14 to 17 is a huge move, you should check the injury reports. No Deron Williams -17 is the play

Surprisingly games like this end up exactly the opposite as "we all expect".

Remember when Memphis played at Cleveland about two weeks ago, (off the top of my head I want to say a Monday night/NBA TV), was a double-digit spread, than Memphis injuries were announced and it moved 4-5 points more....the game went down to the final possession.

Matchup's this year Dallas has lost by 17 and 20.

I would not be very surprised to Dallas stay under 17, in a game "the world expects a 30 point blowout"

I took GSW TT over 119 long ago. Just a thought. Glad that Brooklyn game worked out for you. Nice of the Cav's to put up 12 in the 4th. LOL.

Yeah i remember that game but then again we're talking about the Cavs. IMO they are straight up garbage. I stay far away from them.

Sorry about not doing my homework. I'm limited to info while at work. I appreciate everyone's contributions. I'll try to do a more thorough job of research in the future.
PorkChop, I agree with your theory. I just wonder if those 3 players being out will make the needed difference.
Will GS rest the starters in the 4th and we get a backdoor cover? This game just seems so much like the Brooklyn game.
                More later.

No Parsons, dirk, D will, against top team in the league chasing the bulls record.. what spread are you expecting? Mavs will trail the entire game..

D.Lee gets his ring tonight -emotional night for him. That's likely part of the reason for Nowitzki sitting (they don't want to dnp-cd him on his ring night). I expect the Mavs will give a top effort, but I'm not keen on fading the Warriors at the moment.

                        I'm calling it now:
Dallas +16 1/2 over GS (Bovada)
Line moves 3 points to 17 after the injuries are announced and pressure brings it back down to 16. Smells like a Dallas cover to me.

GSW tends to penetrate up 4th quarters so it's entirely possible that they'll cover the spread. You can take the risk and wait and hope for early gsw blowout and get 20+ points on dallas.

That's a good angle but I'm wondering if we might have something like last night with my 3 picks where the teams did well right out of the gate. I would lose value on my bets if that happened.

Hope your seeing how important previous matchup's are as well. (Dallas wasn;t losing by more than 17 no matter who they put on the court last night), have to be able to look through this as a serious bettor. The average bettor doesn't see this.

Thanks for the advice PorkChop. This was one factor in deciding to take Dallas.

I've seen these fail before. I believe it was a few days ago when I took the under for Sacramento because the 2 previous matchups were low-scoring. However, the third game between the 2 teams was decidedly higher scoring and only went under the higher total by 3 points so the principle still held true.

I'll be looking at this in the future.
