If you simply waited and bet both ML and spread on favorites in OT
Saw it again today with the Knicks, Hornets and now the Clippers.

Seriously, favorites cover at an astounding rate in overtime in the NBA. Would love to know what the numbers look like not only on the ML (almost a given), but even covering the original spread of the game.

Ya, had Rockets +1 for 2nd half, they have it covered and at first let the Clippers dribble half the clock off then decide to foul with 10 seconds left down 6 and of course Paul hits both to push the bet. Howard commits the foul then demands the ball on the inbound only to dribble the time out, simply unbelievable.

The 2 nba games I decide to bet I get fuked over because of OT

Come on, man. Posters comment on this all the time at SBR. You know that. Hell, you've even said so yourself.

OK, I'll start tracking right now, moving forward from today on.

2-0 yesterday both ML and SU with the original spread. Knicks and Mavs. I had both Utah and Minnesota.

              So:

              5-0 ML
              4-1 ATS

Uncanny. Memphis just covered in OT cause elfrid payton blew that game in so many ways. Liability in the crunch time line up

We should have kept track of units, basing it off 1 unit per play.

Just wondering but what books offer OT lines? None of the local lines allow live wagering after the 2 minute mark in the 4th quarter for me.

No. We're not cherry picking lines. Cleveland is a loss or a push. Bookmaker lines should probably be used for this. If not them, Pinnacle or 5D.

What are you talking about? Three different books had the same number. Why does that deserve a "loss" any more than a win?

Because most books had 5 or 5.5 and because you missed a game over the weekend.

If you want to count college ball:

Illinois covered as 7 point favorites in 2OT yesterday over Rutgers.

Washington covered as 4 point favorites over Arizona St yesterday.

Temple covered as a 2 point favorite over Tulsa today.

Yeah, it's definitely common in college hoops as well. Noticed the same thing.

i briefly looked thru the thread.. is there a limit on the size of the fav? I mean if GS goes to OT with wash last night when GS was -12.5, obviously they are not going to cover 12.5 in OT.. that kind of defeats the purpose of tracking this if you are not going to have some kind of limit on the size of the spread
