this is true, and a very important part of 2H capping. also, recognizing how that character manifests itself in the various scheduling situations of the year.

for this game, i think the big thing with miami was, they're old, and not deep. shaq has obviously lost a few steps, and until jason williams comes back, they're running things with a 38 year old point guard. so against a youthful and quality team like the bulls (deng, gordon, hinrich, nocioni, duhon, et al, those guys are really good and have been together a while now) it takes a lot for old dudes to get the mojo up to mount a rally in a game that is already over at halftime.

this incarnation of the bulls has particularly "good" character, and always has had it since coach skiles first started working with them. all the old cliches of "teamwork" and "buying into the system" etc really do apply here. they have in general been undervalued and a good bet for 2 years now, even in the beginning when they were big underdogs most of the time.
