4 of the last 8 seasons, they're has only been 0 or 1 loss per season. Other than this year, I don't think that theory holds water.

true. but in those 4 other seasons there have been teams that has had 2 series losses in a year. By skipping them you save 18.44+ units which outweighs the units gained by not skipping them. If we take the last 8 seasons not including this one, I have +23 units. If you include 2023....well you already know.
