They surely want to win this. If they win they secure the 3th seed, and if Spurs lose tomorrow, they get the 2nd.
If they lose, theyll end 5th.
The real question is wether they will cover the spread..

They need both the Spurs and the Rockets to lose tomorrow to finish 2nd. Seems unlikely.

If they finish 3rd they're probably playing the Grizzlies or Spurs in the first round. They want no part of the Grizzlies given how badly Memphis has owned them the last 2-3 years and obviously nobody wants any part of the Spurs now.

If they finish 5th the most banged up team in basketball and have homecourt anyway. In both cases it's unlikely they'll have HCA in the 2nd round.

If I'm them I tank this game. But you never know what their reasoning will be.

Yes, positive. If the Spurs lose and Rockets/Clippers win, the Rockets and Clippers will be tied for 2nd and the Rockets will get the tiebreaker because they'll be a division winner.

If I'm them, I'd much rather be 5th than 3rd. But we'll see what they decide to do. Looking around I'm not the only person who thinks this.
