When Kobe breaks down in a few weeks, Lakers will have absolutely no scoring threats.

Can they break double digit wins this season?

Is even 9 wins being generous?

SBR = overreaction central as usual.

Kobe will not allow this team to win 9 games lol.

Now obviously if he gets hurt it's another story but I'm counting on him staying at least relatively healthy.

they've had a crazy tough schedule so far especially for a team with lots of new players

4 in 5 nights, 3 great teams, 1 good team they played twice

Bobcats had 7 wins a few years ago

                I live outside of Charlotte

                I experienced that

Beyond Kobe, Lakers don't look much different

7 wins in a strike shortened season, you forgot that part. And I don't think the Lakers quite fit into the catagory of the Bobcats of 3 years ago. But I'm sure they have betting lines for stuff like that, so bet it and show us brother, if that's what you believe.

If Kobe breaks down, there is a chance they will win 9 games, but I doubt they will win many games with Kobe on the court..

Maybe 15 games is more reasonable

They are not that bad (not win 10).... but Kobe can't play the whole game every night. He will never make it. The guy is 36 which is really old. The average life expectancy for a black American male is 71.8 years http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/databriefs/db125.htm . He already has one foot in the grave. Bad management if you ask me. He should be a veteran presence, not play every minute. Like MJ with the Wiz.

Kobe should be role player status like a Ducan or Paul Pierce. Hard to carry a team at 36 for 82 games.

Kobe alone is worth more than 9 wins against the bottom feeders in the East. Lakers are pretty pathetic though. They will improve once Swaggy P comes back.

Is this a serious post? Did you even watch Tuesday's game against the Suns. They would have lost by 30 without Kobe. No one else on the team can create their own shot.

Off topic: One of the best bets this NBA season is Thunder 1st halves. They always come out with energy and you always get + money 1st half. They just run out of gas in the 2nd half because of their depleted roster.

                                        I thought the same thing

Brooklyn was like this last year, come out the gate hot/keep it close, then in 2H they would slow down dramatically

Last year Heat was the opposite, they would come out very slow in the 1H, then in 2H they would dismantle their opponents

Look for these spots this year on certain teams

Apples and oranges. You are talking about the Heat WITH LBJ. Different animal this year. BOL in future wagers and for once a very nice conversation and give & take, for this site anyway.

Kobe has 44 points, but the Lakers are losing by 25. I don't know what's more sad, the way the Lakers are playing, or the fact that I'm still watching this game.

I agree, lets wait and see how they do on a monthly basis.

Lakers will likely play better if Kobe gets injured; they did last year.

                                                        How so?

                                                        25-51 without (.329)
                                                        2-4 with (.333)

So they had a better record with him despite the fact that he clearly wasn't in shape averaging only like 14 points.
