Nah it's pretty simple. They already can no longer finish 6th so are guaranteed homecourt. Assuming the Rockets beat the Jazz, the Clippers can finish no higher than 3rd and cannot matchup with the Rockets. So, if they finish 3rd they'll play the Spurs (if the Spurs lose and Grizzlies win) or Grizzlies (if the Spurs win or Grizzlies lose). It's not only a matter of a team being strong, it's a matter of matchups and who is hot or not as well. It just suits them better.
