#1856We'll see, I might take every series game by game. On instinct I'd tell you I like the Raptors to beat the Wizards and the Spurs/Grizzlies to beat the Clippers, because I'm not crazy about the Clippers or Wizards this season, but it's tough. Those series will probably be pretty close.Comment -

#1857Agreed. I never like to tie up my money for a longer period of time in the NBA with all the crazy swings that can happen. Still, I'd be pretty surprised to see the Spurs lose in the first round whatever happens in the Memphis- Indy game.
Let's see all the actual matchups and series odds and we'll be able to get a better discussion tomorrow.Comment -

#1859The first Saturday is shaping up exactly like last year. The Raptors playing at home at 12:30 eastern and I can't watch the game cause of soccer.
Hopefully it doesn't follow last year's script to the point where I lose 8 units on the Raptors. That would suck. And I like Toronto again most likely

#1860Threw a couple units on Memphis to win it all +2000. They have the favourable 1st round matchup. Conley and Allen will have 1 round to get their legs back before taking on the Warriors. That will obviously be the tough one. I think they can do it. I've said all year this team reminds me of the 2011 Mavs, they might have a similar path, first play the Blazers with homecourt, then play a team nobody thinks they can beat without homecourt in the second round. After that as long as they don't take on the Spurs they should be fine. And if that does happen at least they'll have homecourt.Comment -

#1861Great value there imo. 2nd round against the Warriors would be their main obstacle though. I believe they can take the Spurs w/ them having HCA.Originally posted by SetoThrew a couple units on Memphis to win it all +2000. They have the favourable 1st round matchup. #1863Memphis winning it all is a bit of a reach but it's not like it can't happen. To me they're the third best team in the Conference behind Spurs and Warriors and they have a fairly easy first round matchup. Might put a unit on it too as I have them at +2500.
Btw guys, bwin has posted ML odds for all game 1s and series odds on the series starting Saturday. I don't see anything that seems really off but it's weird that the Mavs are only a +135 dog for the series. I mean I kinda like them in this matchup but I'd expect the official line be quite somewhere closer to +200.Comment -

Not quite sure what 5dimes were doing with this line. CRIS just brought out 8.5. The Bucks are just happy to be there, Chicago is rounding into form. I expect this to be a routine win and getting 1.5 extra points doesn't hurt.Comment -

#1868Grizzlies are -175 to win the series
Not saying this series with Portland is a gimme, Portland has tons of injuries but their 2 best players are playing after all (even if one is banged up), but I really thought Memphis would be more of a fave with homecourt. Them only giving 3.5 in game 1 is surprising to me. Are there actual doubts Conley plays? He warmed up for the game in LA a few days ago which will be 8 full days before game 1 on Sunday. I'd be shocked if he doesn't play.Comment -

#1872Sounds like Portland will be healthier than we thought. Batum and Afflalo should be good to go for game 1. Haven't heard anything about Allen and Conley. Joeger said that if yesterday's game was a playoff game that neither Conley or Allen would play.Originally posted by SetoGrizzlies are -175 to win the series

Pissed about missing the 4 on Toronto. Might just book it at 4.5. That will pretty much sum it up as far as the 4 games I like the most. I need to see a game of Mavs/Rockets before I make my mind up there. The other 3 series don't interest me much for now. All 3 faves should win and I have no idea which ones cover. The only dog I could see winning outright would be Brooklyn.Comment -

I think Clippers is a good bet. If game 1 doesn't hit, probably double up in game 2. It's a bad draw for SA, I think Clipps were the one team they didn't want to see.Comment -

#1885I don't need Paul Pierce to tell me that Deron Williams and Joe Johnson are losers, we'd all figured that out a long time ago. If anything those comments could help those 2 guys get motivated for this series. Maybe it's all part of Pierce's plan to try to get Brooklyn instead of Atlanta in the 2nd round, or at least a more tired Hawks squad in the 2nd round.Originally posted by nelsonrc24Even after what Pierce said? Is Budenholzer a much better playoff coach than Hollins? What has he proven in the postseason? Not trying to diminish what he's done this year at all. Hollins made the WCF with Memphis.Comment -

I don't mind if Allen plays limited minutes even throughout the postseason. He brings something to that team for sure but having a guy who can't even make a layup out there for more than 20 minutes frustrates me.Comment -
