    Doc Rivers vs Scott Brooks
This matchup worries me most in the Clippers/Thunder series.

If OKC wins it will be because they have two top 10 players that carried them. If LA wins it will be because Rivers out coached Brooks.

Ibaka should be able to contain Griffin. He is about the only PF in the league strong enough to.

Perkins should clog clog up the middle and neutralize Jordan.

No one on LA can guard Durant or Westbrook......

With that said, this is the potential matchup in the West that worried me most being a Thunder fan.

Also like Portland over the Spurs.

Perkins won't neutralize Jordan. I think Jordan will still make big plays off the offensive glass. OKC should play Adams. He can match up with Jordan's size and it will be more difficult to get easy putback buckets.

Barnes could have given Durant trouble maybe 5 years ago but yea like you said, LAC can't really guard him.

I've always felt that Rivers was the best or at least one of the top 2 or 3 coaches in the nba. Mostly because he always has a handle on his team's pulse and knows the right buttons to push. NBA coaching is as much about knowing your team and motivational skills as it is about x's and o's.

All I'm saying is that Brooks lucked into a ton of talent and that has gotten him by despite being out coached in the playoffs the last three years.

Perkins wont on stop Jordan but this is about the most useful Pekins could be in a series.

OKC will need to hold home court. They usually win game 1 easy.

That's the problem with LAC, they don't have an elite wing player who can guard Durant. Matt Barnes is a decent defensive player, but I don't see him keeping Durant in check.

One huge advantage LAC has over OKC is:

CP3's decision making in crucial situations over Westbrook's.

How many shots has either one of them made as coaches? Players win games!

You have to also realize that essentially Russell and Durant are the only scoring threats (don't wanna hear about Serge or Reggie. Please) Serge is up for the task against Blake, but I still don't see him averaging less than 22 a game. Mix in 19-22 for CP3, 12-14 for DeAndre, and guaranteed double figures for Crawford, Barnes, JJ, and Collison...and OKC's putrid 4th quarter offense (these sets are atrocious), I see this going 7 with the Clips pulling it off.

CP3 can guard Westbrook, but he is hurt and tired which will affect him, but the Thunder's bench will get killed by the Clippers bench meaning even if the Thunder get on a run the clippers should close the gap and add in the fact OKC sucks in the 4th QTR i like the Clips, Durant is going to need to score 30+ each game 29- they will lose

Agreed... players play and coaches wish they were playing. Real inspirational when they are "miked" up and say things like, " We have to win this for ourselves". Focus, " We are a team, now lets go win this thing". I'm sure the millionaire crybabies get all emotional over that BS.

Is Westbrook really a top 10 player?

And also Ibaka will not be neutralizing Griffin in a 7 game series....

The NBA will not allow the networks to broadcast X and Os the coaches talk about in the huddle during timeouts. As a result the only thing you see on TV is the fluff they say which amounts to nothing.

I think Westbrook has a big series, and like you said Ibaka can match griffin size and athletic wise. Hopefully Perkins and Adams hack Jordan a good amount, make him beat you at the line. Scotty brooks scares me, though

Durant and Westbrook should score a lot of points this series as the Clippers play bad parameter defense.

Clips might score a lot too...

I don't mind Brooks that much as a coach, I just hate his rotations. Is he known for being a bad X's and O's guy? I just hate the fact that he plays Perkins, Fisher and Sefelosha so many minutes and doesn't even use Lamb.

I'm not a fan of his playcalling (or lack thereof) offensively either.

I've always been a huge Doc guy. He owns this matchup. But it's not a series-defining matchup thankfully for OKC.
