#182Everyone has a bad stretch once in a while. Keep track of your picks and don't worry about it. It is almost impossible to stay at 77%. At somepoint something has to bring you down closer to 60.Originally posted by hockeytown11Might be time to start fading my pick fellas after about a 77 percent feb im hovering around 44 percent last 7 or 8 days
At least you follow Hockey and know a lot. Even if I don't follow anyone blindly I like to watch it now and doing a little capping and seeing that HT is on the same thing is nice to see.

#183"He's still a productive player" is all he's got going for him brother. Unfortunately, he also has been one of the most selfish, unbridled players ever.Originally posted by cocknockerBmoreBucco,
He's still a productive player. Marbury is a locker room cancer but because of his talent he ended up on a championship caliber team. It just happens...If Boldin gets away, you think that Warner would be mad if the team signed T.O.?
Put it this way, I was watching Mike & Mike yesterday and they were womdering where T.O. might go. I thought... not only would the Steelers never think about the possibility of signing T.O.
They would fire any employee that brought it up.Comment -

I agree 100%, he's a drama queen, a media hog, a team chemistry destroyer and he'll go down as one of the more talented players who went nowhere and it will serve him right. The unfortunate thing is he will always be looking to shift the blame to others and never take accountability for his failures.Comment -

i am adding sj-.5 1st period(greek) and over 1.5 1st period la/dall game(greek)
People would be foolish to fade your picks bro.....you've done really well. Everybody hits these rough spots.
I just wish this bad luck mojo would stop following me around!!!
On one hand, it's comforting knowing that other people are able to relate to what I'm feeling.......but on the other hand it F..KIN SUCKS to feel like I've got some contagious disease that could be affecting people in a negative way!
I'm usually a very positive person, but I feel like the devil is trying to break my spirit through gambling or something........I know that sounds crazy.Comment -

#189Some "good" stocks to look into would be your utility companies. If you're looking at/for a short-term gain, check out gas (heat) companies and pick them up in the spring and ride it out through the following winter. Electric company stocks are steady gainers (traditionally).

#208Okay........here's some serious capping talk from me for a change.
MLB season 2007......I implemented an interesting, yet simple, system and it worked very well. My bookie at the time thought that I had some type of inside info, because I would win bets on +200 dogs. I used the 1st Quarter of the baseball seaon as my historical data. What I would do is track each individual team and what their winning percentage AND losing percentage was after 1 Win or Loss, 2 Wins or Loss, etc......So basically someone like the Red Sox would follow one win with a loss 22% of the time, 2 wins with a loss 26% of the time, 3 wins with a loss 35% of the time, 4 wins with a loss 49% of the time.....and there losses would look more like 1 loss followed by a win 38% of the time....2 losses followed by a win 48% of the time.......3 losses followed by a win 65% of the time.
Anyway.....what I would do is find the games where the variance was the greatest difference between......for instance, maybe the Royals were playing the Yankees.....Royals = shitty team that year....Yanks = pretty good team. The Royals go into the game having LOST 5 in a row (where 72% of the time they follow up with a WIN in the 6th game) against the Yanks who have WON 4 in a row (where 59% of the time they follow up with a LOSS in the 5th game). Well, I would be betting the Royals +200 and winning.....NO MATTER WHO WAS PITCHING OR CLOSING! I tried to alter it based on pitchers and it seemed to screw it up.....I just needed to go with the basic percentages.......
Anyway......I can go deeper....like if it lost......the whole JM/Martingale/chase stuff......but I'm going to bed early tonight.
But this system did very, very well.......I have no idea why I stopped using it. It's like I get a bad case of dumbass.
Oh.....quickly....I was thinking it could relate to other sports as well by using ATS data......Like the Cavs cover the spread 70% after an ATS win, 62% after 2 ATS wins, 56% after 3 ATS wins etc....Comment -
